Tanaka m700 Trigger question

Hello,
Anyone know how to adjust the trigger to make the trigger pull distance much less? For some reason when I cock the rifle the trigger pushes forward a little too far so that when I pull the trigger it needs to travel a long distance.

I believe that there's a couple threads that explain this better than I can remember.

However, from what I recall, the screw that is on the opposite side of the trigger mech adjusts the trigger pull.

No problem. There's three screws that adjust various parameters of the trigger.
