The Definitive Novritsch SSG10 Killer

Hello, fellow human beings.
Today, I wanted to start this thread to make sure that we can all come together and make an airsoft rifle that is better than the Novritsch SSG10, in the following categories:
Price: the price can be the same or lower, but not higher (unless accessories like a scope or extra mags are included). Also, the price is for the entire rifle, without accessories. Lastly, the shipping from different websites must be included so that the price is fair
Assembly time: here, I would like to include the estimated assembly time for the rifle. I understand that making an airsoft rifle is a very long and personal process, but I would like to know an estimate to see if I could get into such a venture.
Performance comparison: This is perhaps, the hardest part, but it is the part that makes me doubt the most as to whether I should really make my own rifle or just buy a pre-built one. While the accuracy of all of the Novritsch rifles is well documented in both video and text, the accuracy of a custom rifle is a much more debated topic, with much less proof as to whether claims are factually true. Plus, there are a lot of haters who will say that they have a better gun just to try to screw Novritsch over. So, I would really like it if there was hard proof (not just "from experience") that shows that the custom rifle can shoot better than a Novritsch ssg10.

With all of that said, let the suggestions begin!

I’m not entirely sure what the intention of this post was…

But if you’re asking people to suggest a list of parts…a completed rifle…or share with you how to get into an airsoft sniper rifle’s manufactures market…at a lower price point and higher performance rating than Novritsch, it won’t happen.

Price: you can’t beat Novritsch’s economy of scale. Sure…we can individually build a superior sniper rifle, but the cost and time resource would end up resulting in a rifle that’s several folds over his. For his price and his quality tier, he has everyone beat.

Performance: You can’t get any performance data that will give you “hard proof”. At some point you will have to trust in the numbers someone provides to you (in which case you can look at the numbers provided here on this forum). The performance is a function of the sum of the parts, and if there are any variability in quality control, you could have drastically different results. What one can do is put together a rifle thats statistically likely to perform better, but no one can “prove” anything in the ridged scientific or legal sense in what you’re asking for.

Thank you very much! This is helpful and I most certainly will keep it in my mind.
For $300, the SSG10 is the best and most economic rifle on the market.

Are you looking to build a rifle for cheaper?

Why do you have to hate on Novritsch? What has he done wrong?

You need to make an intro post.
This doesn't really count as one.

As for a the actual question, I can only really see a few ways of beating Novi's price, all of which are worse than the SSG10 in one way or another.
The SSG10 costs around £260.
These builds should be cheaper with prices Guesstimated and Rounded. Performance-wise- Novi will be better if performance=parts. You can put together a better rifle, as, what really matters is how well the parts work together.

1)

Action Army T11- £160
Maple Leaf Piston- £13
Cheap Spring Guide- £13
M150 Spring- £13
Polish up stock inner barrel (don't know how much this will cost, let's just say £5)
Maple Leaf Bucking- £6
Maple Leaf Hopup Arm- £14
Airseal, Shimming, Barrel Spacers, TDC and Other DIY mods- £5...maybe?

Total: £229

2)

Double Bell VSR10- £150 (incompatible with most vsr10 upgrades so not a good choice in general) Most stock parts on the rifle, are, however, steel or aluminium and very durable.
Action Army Tightbore- £30
Maple Leaf Bucking- £6
Maple Leaf Nub- £4
Airseal, Shimming, Barrel Spacers, TDC and Other DIY mods- £5...maybe?

Total: £195

3)

EMG/APS Barret Fieldcraft- £140 (from Redwolf) Good Value and excellent gun, but very leaky airseal.
Action Army Piston (or Laylax- pistons with glide rings must be used as they need to be filed down)- £35
Cheap Spring Guide- £13
Polish up stock inner barrel (don't know how much this will cost, let's just say £10 as steel polish is more expensive)
M150 Spring- £13
Unicorn Bucking- £7
Maple Leaf Hopip Arm- £14
Airseal, Shimming, Barrel Spacers, TDC and Other DIY mods- £5...maybe?

Total: £192

4)

A&K M24- £170
M150 Spring- £12
VSR10 Inner Barrel- £30
Maple Leaf Bucking- £6
Maple Leaf Hopup Arm- £14
Airseal, Shimming, Barrel Spacers, TDC and Other DIY mods- £5...maybe?

Total: £237

forget the ML arm and spring guide, invest in a GS TDC.

Also the stock trigger isn't rated for springs above M120 but 1tonne said it stood up to a M170 for a while.

My T-11 build ended up being closer to the €270 mark because, although I already had some parts, I had to replace others because they didn't match well (Cylinder head and had a custom airbrake machined for my SCW piston to match the new ML head).
I am confident I can get it up to 2J with just a spring change (M120, since a M100 gives me 1.4J on 0.4s).
Still cheaper than a SSG10 and looks cooler :D

You will not beat the price and performance of the ssg10. Sorry. I don’t use any of his rifles nor do I ever plan to, but I have nothing against them. $300 for a vsr with a 90° trigger is all you need to know really, that alone you’re near cost. Not to mention all the other features and things like 25 year warranty. The only way you’ll do better for cheap is diy-ing the crap out of a gun and you’ll have a piece of crap that’s held together with bubble gum and paper clips. You want something different? Spend the money.

If you mean whether we can actually build one ourselves, from scratch, then I'm sure some people on this forum could.
We would still have to outsource some parts, because, as far as I know, no one of this forum has ever made a good quality barrel from scratch.
People have made pistons, hopup arms, nubs, gun stocks from scratch though.
They still sell them at a higher price than Novboi does because economies of scale.

But, Novritsch has a 25 year warranty. If anything breaks on the gun (there are a few exceptions, like putting it together incorrectly, and breaking the cylinder) he will replace it for free.

Also Novritsch customer support is quick and helpful.

With the before mentioned setups, the triggers are somewhat weak, the pistons are somewhat weak, and a whole other list of things while the SSG10 has an extremely high quality trigger, piston, spring guide, and cylinder with little to be improved besides extremely easy shimming and such that could be done for free.

You can certainly get a WELL MB03 to perform as well as an SSG10, but it would feel delicate, heavy in some places and wobbly in others, but it will not perform that well for as long as the SSG10 will.
I feel that everybody already knows this, but won't admit it which is fine, but it's almost impossible to outdo without losing money.

Honestly, I like him. The thing is that online, a lot of people will claim that all of his stuff can be made better for cheaper, and as such, I wanted to test and look into these claims. I have now found that this is mostly bullsh*t, which only helps to lead me more towards his products. Also, from what I am gathering from all of these comments, I have not been very clear, so I have to apologize about that.

What they meant by build, is upgrade another gun to that level for cheaper. This is not exactly true.

A gun performing as well as the SSG24 could be made for cheaper.
The SSP1 is literally just a KJW Hicapa with Novritsch Markings and some parts which are coloured purple.
I made something similar to the SSG96 cheaper by buying a Well L96 and upgrading it with SSG96 parts for half the price.
I hate the SSR15 in every way. It is a vfc with a titan. I could build a much better gun for half the price.
The SSE18 is a slightly more expensive cyma glock aep.

The SSX23, SSP18, SSX303 and SSG10, are, however, worth it, and you could not build an equivalent gun cheaper.

Haters are going to hate
While a lot of the more experience snipers here won’t ever pick up a Novritsch sniper rifle, it’s only because they are aiming for a higher performance tier (which isn’t the same demographic those rifles were meant for) and are willing to pay for the price for the marginal improvement.
Anyone that claims they can build the same rifle, let alone better one that Novritsch for that price point doesn’t know what they are talking about.

Now if your argument is, I want to build the best springer possible… then no…Novritsch isn’t your gun

So, could you please enlighten us with all of the parts necessary for a build like this that would be better than the SSG 10 at the same price point? And with some proof that it is better?
Has anyone in here ever tried a ssg10?

I didn't say that anything could be better than the ssg10.
I said that the ssg10 is one of the Novi guns that I like, that is worth the money and that could not be built cheaper.

The ones that I said are not worth it are the SSG24, SSP1, SSG96, SSR15 AND SSE18.
Yeah, if I could do it over again I'd probably get an SSG10. My A&K M24 is doing.... Meh. I think it's really hard to beat an SSG10 when you consider all the time that will be saved.
Has anyone in here ever tried a ssg10?
Yes, I own one. 430mm inner barrel, 303mm outer barrel (the short one), and a suppressor. Crazy accurate. Got mine used on eBay for $550, plus a scope, and 3 extra mags.

Owner did a few more upgrades, like filling the stock with foam, the paint job, and add aluminum tape. You can read about all this is my thread.

Yes, but I think that the guy I borrowed it from had a faulty one, because the bbs would tank after 30 metres.

Definitely faulty. My SSG10 can peck targets at 300+ feet.
