I'm not looking for advice. I just want to hear what people are using and to create a discussion.

So, what inner barrel diameter do you use?

I really want to look into an EdGI 5.98 or 6.00 super tightbore, but it vastly limits your ammo variety.

For now, I use the stock barrel in my BAR10 pro, a KM HEAD 430 barrel that I got for wicked sheap and cut to fit my G-spec, and I'm going to invest in a nice IB for my Tanaka ( ;D )
Yeah I've always wanted to see how a sub-6 barrel would perform with smaller bb's such as Biovals.
I run a 6.01mm barrel, but really want to try a 6.03 just to compare results.
I use a PDI 6.01 430mm VSR barrel. I can literally shoot a BB on top of another at 50 feet indoors. The only thing I don't like about my 6.01 barrel is that it requires it to be very clean. I want to try a 6.03 and compare the two.
I agree. There hasn't actually been a proper test yet using the same rifle, same ammo, same brand of barrel.
Anyone had any experience with above 6.05?
I used to have a 6.01 in my AICs and I'm using a 6.03 in my Police
I have the feeling it has better groupings past 50m.

what about barrel length? Which do you think is the best for power/accuracy with a vsr cylinder?

There was a thread on Airsoft Retreat many moons ago by a guy by the name of Noobie (same dude who invented the M-trig, TDC system, etc.) that showed mathematically how to volume match your barrel to your cylinder for a VSR.
Its widely accepted the optimum ratio of cylinder to barrel volume is no less than 1.7/1 for around .3 bb's and for around the .4 mark a ratio of 2/1 is good.
Standard Pro-Sniper length is the most accurate after posts I've seen on various forums.

Anyway, is 6.08 really PDI's most accurate barrel? I know the wider the better, but surely there's a point where it starts to get more inaccurate? :p
Milo thats right, while I don't know the science behind it I believe ORGA Magnus managed to reach the limit of air to BB ratio with their 6.23 barrel. It drops your FPS by about 40 but with a P* thats not much of an issue. I've been talking with Amped about it and they're still in their video-editing stage but they said they had phenomenal results with P* and 6.23, in-fact so much that they all switched from their EdGi and Prommy to the ORGA Magnus barrel.

From what I've read on ASM there comes a point when barrel length does not matter anymore and that number was either 400mm or 455mm.

Anywhere between the 2 is good, especialy for a normal length cylindered AEG shooting upto and including .3s, you can get away with a 509mm barrel in full cylindered bolt actions and long cylindered AEGs as there is enough volume of air to support it.
Wow. So a 6.23 barrel is still accurate? What fps was he shooting at?
Barrel Size

I use a 6.07 that came with my M324, and it is more accurate than my friends Well MK96 with a 6.02 tightbore barrel... or maybe its just me.
PDI just told me that their most accurate inner barrel is 6.01mm

Why does everyone say different things? Ahh! :D
