Before even reading this post, i suggest you take a look at this thread first and read through all the pages so you understand what the J-hop is and the many possibilities available.

Unfortunately, the thread on airsoft society has seemed to dwindle off a bit, and i haven't found much more testing done on this. If your going to take a stab at this mod, please share your results with everyone here so we can learn from each others mistakes and find a good solution. Once we find something that works, this will be a much easier method to making R/ER-hops or any type of hop for that matter.

Then where can you get this Rhop tubing? :yup:
I don't have money to spend, but I'll be damned if I can't get my M4 to shoot at least 200... Seriously, it's bumming me out. I've tried a ton of buckings, and just got a black python; NOTHING IS WORKING!
Next thing I wanna buy are Mnubs or the FireFly Namazu flat hop, as I already have a REAPS with the mound and alignment block removed...
Shifty has a thread in the for sale section selling ir-hop tubing for pretty cheap compared to HS5's stuff. Of course all the credit for the ir-hop goes to HS5 (minus the g-hop inspiration), Shifty's stuff is just cheaper.
I want to start out with the fact that I have not tried making a J-hop, yet. But I was thinking, is it possible the issue people are having with durability comes from pinch jams? Not necessarily actual jams where you have to physically un-jam the bb, put very slight jams, just enough to cause excess drag. From what I've gathered that is the reason for rounding off the front edge of an r-hop or the edge of the barrel. I've not quite figured out how to rectify said problem, if that is the problem. But just a thought i had.

Sounds like air compression issues.
Double feeding and lousy nozzle. Getting that sorted out.... Looking for a KA tappet plate, and Guarder nozzle. "Looking" as in found the stuff, just need to buy it :p

J-hop was abandoned because of the fact it is basically a soft R-hop.
It has no advantages and is unreliable.
Actually, The Builder found that liquid e-tape is a great j-hop material. I am going to try using it soon, as I have one of those arrow shafts coming in so I can make a barrel out of it.

i know is a old post but i will help with a little info for those who will try j-hops
for j-hop material i use sikaflex 11fc+ is a hard silicone a 37shore, i use in a 3 joule build so far more then 2000bb and still work great, typical silicone has 15 shore and so wore much faster.
