Event Operations - Sniper/Spotter team.

-After briefing, each team will pick a random unmarked envelope. Each envelope will include your camping location, your team number, scenarios, Map, etc.

- After briefing, you will be taken to your campsite. Once there, set up your camp. The necessities for your fire will be in a garbage bag in your campsite. from 9pm - 5am, you cannot leave your campsite. This is also a CEASE FIRE time, meaning absolutely no shooting. Use this time to review the contents of your envelope, as well as plan out your route and strategize with your partner. Also use this time to get some sleep or eat an MRE. at 5am you are allowed to now leave the campsite and go about your day.

- After 5am, all teams are free to roam in the bounds of the field to complete any of the objectives, in any order, at any time. All objectives are optionaland have a set point value. Objectives will vary in assignment, as well as difficulty. Each team will have the opportunity to complete all objectives.

-Snipers must use bolt action rifles. Spotters must use mid/low cap mags only (NO highcaps). It is Mandatory that at least one person in your two man team has a radio, yet it is recommended that you both do.

-Respawns:
When either the sniper or spotter is shot, they will announce they are hit, put on a red kill rag (mandatory), and immediately exit the field and walk to the designated respawn zone. You must also radio in that the 'Sniper or Spotter' from 'Sniper team #' has been hit. Points will be deducted for each death.

First hit: The team member that was hit must remain in respawn for 1 hour. The other team member can try to complete objectives on their own if they wish. If both are hit, then both are out for 1 hour. After 1 hour, the sniper can head to a designated area where the spotter must also go to. The sniper can only re-enter the game if his spotter meets him at the designated area.

Second hit: Same as 'First Hit' except respawn time is 2 hours. Points will be deducted.

Third hit: The team is deducted more points and that player is done for the remainder of the day. If the other member is still in the game, they must continue alone.

Alright guys, figured I should bump this one.

We're still looking for a few more sniper spotter teams, if those slots aren't filled, and you would like to attend as a lone gun, please send an Email to [email protected] . Cost for a lone gun is $35, you will receive a patch which is your ticket to the event as well as 2 MRE's, and a good handful of water bottles.

It is highly suggested that you find someone else to go with, however if you cannot, but you would like to attend, you can send in your application.

Also, if you are sort of interested, but unsure on any part of this, feel free to email the same address and ask away, registration for this is going to close in the next week so I figure we might as well try and get a few more people if you'd like a chance at winning the trophy.

Aw...I'll be in Cancun on my honeymoon...HAHA!

Looks very well thought out though, did you put all this on yourself? Is there a website for it? I'd be jazzed to participate, although, not in a Sniper/Spotter role.

Curious about the food and drink part. Can you bring your own extra food, or is part of the competition everyone having the same amount? Will there be designated resupply points for water? Even in Hell Week of the Division 1 Scout/Sniper course, water was unlimited (though there were no edibles allowed). Going down for dehydration causes physical problems that will plague you for life.

Yes, at every designated campsite we will have aprox 25 water bottles, which is enough to fill a hydro pack all day long. Also we are providing 2 MRE's as well as a hotdog/hamburger all you can eat the night before people go in, that way they don't have to immediately reach for the MRE's.

Also, if they want more food, that's cool too. But honestly.. I think I'll maybe eat one of those MRE's throughout the entire day, seeing as I'll be too nervous of someone going to shoot me when I'm eating (You do everything during the game).

And yes.. I came up with the idea and my buddy Mirage who had hosted events before had added on, and we eventually spent a few sleepless nights talking about this at events and whatnot and eventually decided to type it out and get it going.

That's some hardcore stuff man. We don't have things like that over at our field except maybe a shart op or a night game at the end of every month. But, we have way too many queer-ass skater kids thinkin' that they are the next glory shot, so.

Well.. This one is sort of up in the air as of the moment. I mean, we just got $400 in barrels from DB Customs to go for prizes and raffle, so my guess is that if we don't get the turnout we're hoping for. We'll make it an extreme MilSim event, but mainly feature sniping.

I would come down but I got plans.

Will this be an annual or biannual thing? I could probably make it if the Saudi's are happy with their income for just one week  . I really love the idea. It reminds me of the US Army Best Sniper comp.

The funny thing is that I was brainstorming this idea about a month before that contest came about. Which was kinda funny in my opinion.

Anyways, we're looking for more people.. But unless we can get the minimum of 10 teams, we're going to have to call it.

Originally we had 23 teams interested, but due to various circumstances, or different things.. aproximately 15 dropped, leaving us with just our team's scout/snipers and a few others.

We would like to announce that 8 Teams (16 people) are officially selected and registered to participate in this event. We also have something in the numbers of 10-15 guards who get to shoot at all of them! (Myself included
).

If you wish to sign up, it's not too late. If you live in the upper Midwest Area.. It's going to be a definate MUST! The Airsoft News Network is going to be there, and it is going to be sponsered by DB Customs and OML Embroidery (We currently received 5 6.01 DB Customs tightbores from Dwayne). If you would like to attend, send me a PM here or Email to [email protected]

Thanks fellas!

this is sick! Sucks living so far away! I'd def attend. I'd love for an event like that here. Best I get is when we play hunt the sniper at night and I go countersniper. I would love to see an event like this in Florida.

The Midwest Sniper Cup _____ (Year Date) is a term I do plan on trademarking.. However if you follow a similiar format to the basic idea then that's cool. Just don't copy my trade.
