Thanks Bobcat

I'de just like to thank you for making this guide. It really helped me create my dream KJW M700. Wouldn't have been able to do it without this guide.

*Edit*
Also I am purchasing an Orga Magnus HD 6.13mm 500mm Inner Barrel to replace my Madbull 6.03. I can let everyone know the performance results if you'd like. Thanks again!

I was looking at the 6.00mm Orga for abit, actually came close to buying it. Main reason I didn't was because I didn't want any jamming issues and you would have to clean that barrel religiously before and after every game. Also, Bobcat's idea of using a wider bore to create a P* effect really got me thinking and interested in the 6.13mm-6.23mm.

Orga Magnus HD Thoughts

My Orga Magnus HD 6.13 came in today, so here's my thoughts on it.
I currently have no camera so I cannot take pictures :( but I'll try my best to explain everything. It came in a flimsy plastic box with a baggie around it, not very good protection, but luckily it came in one piece. Naturally it was much larger internal width than the 6.03, which was to be expected. The barrel for me is surprisingly light, and the teflon coating isn't a bad touch either :).

Let's get onto performance vs my Madbull 6.03mm. Install was easy, tied dental floss around the bucking as well as teflon tape to eliminate leaks from the bucking.

Obviously my upgrades are going to effect performance, so I thought I would list them now:
-KJW M700 Takedown (I regret this lmao)
-G&G Rubber Set & Striker Spring
-Palmers Pursuit CO2 Setup W/ Tanaka Long Mag
-Falcon H-style bucking with a flat nub (Note: this is my first custom nub ever so accuracy will not be as great as the guys with good nubs.)
-And of course the Orga Magnus HD

Performance
To test this I put targets up at 75', 150', 200', 250' and 300' and took 10 shots each. Wind was blowing at around 20km/h. I was using .30g BBBastard BBs. FPS was at a constant 475-480 Feet Per Second with the Madbull and 450-455 Feet Per Second with the Orga Magnus.

Madbull 6.03mm Inner Barrel

75'- 9/10
150'- 7/10
200'- 8/10
250'- 7/10
300'- 6/10

Orga Magnus HD 6.13mm Inner Barrel

75'- 7/10
150'- 9/10
200'- 10/10
250'- 9/10
300'- 8/10

As you can see the Orga did perform better than my Madbull in the end, however my Madbull performed better than the Orga at 75', but that's a little close for a sniper to shoot from, it's dangerous lol. Also I will note that when using the Orga Magnus HD my FPS dropped around 25-30. I will state again that my nub is not great but the Orga performed very nicely. All in all it did better than my Madbull and I would highly recommend it.

Yes I am definitely pleased with my purchase.
A little off the topic of the barrel but I have a question for you, I cut my Macro line too short :( and I cannot put the Reg in the stock, also, I have no rails or extra scope rings to attach it to the bottom of the stock. I have been using electrical tape to hold it in place but it's a pain in the butt to take out and put in the magazine, as well as changing CO2. Any thoughts on how to hold in on the rifle?
Also I'm sorry If I should have PM'd you instead.

Hey Jak, though I don't know as much as Bobcat I'll give you my 2 cents. Firstly I can confirm the stock inner barrel length is 630mm in length. Quite honestly I cannot answer your question about the length of the outer barrel. I've gone through quite a few barrels picking my favourite and I currently run a 6.03 650mm Prometheus PSG-1 barrel. It goes past the outer barrel by about 10mm and runs into the suppressor like a charm. Most people would say getting a 650mm barrel is overkill, but not me. I think the longest barrel I've seen is a Deepfire 700mm 6.03. Happy hunting!

PSG-1 barrels are AEG barrels if that is the question. There is a common misconception that the KJW M700 cannot take AEG barrels, however it is not true. That slit you see in near the window on the top barrels (VSR and M700) is there because the two rifles take VSR style buckings. The slit is there to maximize air seal with the bucking. AEG barrels take AEG bucking and therefore do not need the slit to maximize the air seal. The flat surfaces found on the M700 and AEG barrels farther left past the window are there because screws hold the barrel in place. Since I put an AEG barrel in a rifle that takes VSR buckings, I needed to cut a slit so that I didn't lose my air seal while using my 9ball VSR bucking. I am by no means a good airsoft barrel mechanic and I didn't want to risk ruining my barrel so I did a quick floss mod around the tip of my bucking to keep my air seal. It gets the job done. I hope I answered your questions Jak.

Hey bud, seems like your mag is a little leaky. If I had this problem I'de disassemble the mag, clean the innards with some warm water and a bit of soap, lube it and reassemble. If you are running macroline double check you've got them set firmly in place inside the fittings. Teflon tape the threads going into the magazine. Afterwards try holding the mag underwater while running gas through it and check if air is rising to the surface. If these don't work I would probably get a new magazine, however I would think there are more complicated things you can do to stop gas from leaking, sadly I don't know them. Also, get a new gauge quickly because you should know how hot your rifle is firing at all times because of safety reasons to other players. Tell me how that Modify bucking turns out performing if you can get your rifle to work, I personally use a 9ball but i'm interested to see how the Modify bucking does.
Hope you get your gun up and running bud.

Thank you to those that replied, its been super helpful.

Just one more question though. The only extended mags that i can find in stock in the UK that would be complatible with the KJ M700 is the Action Army 28rnd M700 Mag. Has anybody got any experience with these? im assuming they would be similar to the AAC-21 mags, im kind of hoping that i would just be able to screw off the bottom of the gas chamber to install the cqb russian valve?

Can anybody confirm or deny this for me please? I am hoping to avoid drilling and tapping as best i can due to not having the confidence or equipment to do it. Thank you :)
The 28rd Action Army mag is the same in the AAC-21. It's a clone of the Tanaka Long Mag for the M700. The only differences between the two are the plastic body and the price. I actually use the Action army mag and have no complaints. I have no experience with the CQB Russian Valve because I tapped mine, and it looks like there are specific valves for different brands and the reviews are iffy so I'de stay away from it. If you don't feel comfortable tapping your magazine just get this:
Tanaka / KJW M700 Constant Air Adapter for extended clips
Good luck with your build.

So I was wondering how to test leaks in my gun. Ive read a couple of times to just submerge the whole thing in water and test for air bubbles. Is this true or am I just reading a bunch of BS? Also, what PSI do you guys recommend?
Thanks for the help guys!
My field limits me to 450fps w/ .20g so I run mine at around 100 PSI. People with higher FPS limits could really crank the PSI up if they wanted to though. Mostly it's experimentation between a safe but effective PSI.
