What part of the hop-up do you find difficult?

Nub- Probably most difficult, just requires time and patience. Worse comes to worse, you scrap the nub you made and you use the stock nub.

Bucking- Pretty easy, just swap out the buckings you purchased. Again, you can always use the stock bucking

Assembly- lots of people are afraid of taking apart rifles they don't know too much about, Just keep track of the parts and if there are any issues we are here to help.

Overall, the hop up system is what makes a good sniper rifle, no matter the platform. I have had issues with the stock components from the KJW, so I do strongly recommend that you at least make your own nub. I'm in a transition point right now, so I am using the stock bucking, and it seems to be alright with the homemade nub.

Thanks Bobcat

I'de just like to thank you for making this guide. It really helped me create my dream KJW M700. Wouldn't have been able to do it without this guide.

*Edit*
Also I am purchasing an Orga Magnus HD 6.13mm 500mm Inner Barrel to replace my Madbull 6.03. I can let everyone know the performance results if you'd like. Thanks again!

How much are Orga's and do they make any Barrel closer to the M700s stock size? If you say it was better than a Mabbull 6.03 (barrel I have) then I may try to get one.

There is also this 6.00mm:
Orga Super Power Barrel 6.00mm for VSR (430mm)
I know that most people say to keep away from very tight bore barrels but I have found that I can get more accuracy from a 6.01mm barrel if it is short. This just means that I have to up the spring a little more to get the higher fps. Tighter bore barrels also help with joule creep. I gained an extra hidden 30fps by swapping out a 6.03mm for a 6.01mm. So I wonder what a 6.00mm will do.

I was looking at the 6.00mm Orga for abit, actually came close to buying it. Main reason I didn't was because I didn't want any jamming issues and you would have to clean that barrel religiously before and after every game. Also, Bobcat's idea of using a wider bore to create a P* effect really got me thinking and interested in the 6.13mm-6.23mm.

Another thing to think about is that the 6.13 and 6.23 wide bore barrels are more forgiving to bb defects. If you had a 6.00, or 6.01 for that matter, any slight bb defect could fling your shot to who-knows-where because the defect would be touching the sides of the barrel, guaranteed.
Whereas the 6.13 and 6.23 would allow for some room between the defect and the barrel.
Either way, a defect would throw your shot off where it's supposed to land, but in theory the wide bores would be more forgiving to it.

Take me for example… I use a 6.10 and those dang white .43s (higher percentage of defect per 100…) And I still manage to hit 10/10 at 230 feet

Orga Magnus HD Thoughts

My Orga Magnus HD 6.13 came in today, so here's my thoughts on it.
I currently have no camera so I cannot take pictures :( but I'll try my best to explain everything. It came in a flimsy plastic box with a baggie around it, not very good protection, but luckily it came in one piece. Naturally it was much larger internal width than the 6.03, which was to be expected. The barrel for me is surprisingly light, and the teflon coating isn't a bad touch either :).

Let's get onto performance vs my Madbull 6.03mm. Install was easy, tied dental floss around the bucking as well as teflon tape to eliminate leaks from the bucking.

Obviously my upgrades are going to effect performance, so I thought I would list them now:
-KJW M700 Takedown (I regret this lmao)
-G&G Rubber Set & Striker Spring
-Palmers Pursuit CO2 Setup W/ Tanaka Long Mag
-Falcon H-style bucking with a flat nub (Note: this is my first custom nub ever so accuracy will not be as great as the guys with good nubs.)
-And of course the Orga Magnus HD

Performance
To test this I put targets up at 75', 150', 200', 250' and 300' and took 10 shots each. Wind was blowing at around 20km/h. I was using .30g BBBastard BBs. FPS was at a constant 475-480 Feet Per Second with the Madbull and 450-455 Feet Per Second with the Orga Magnus.

Madbull 6.03mm Inner Barrel

75'- 9/10
150'- 7/10
200'- 8/10
250'- 7/10
300'- 6/10

Orga Magnus HD 6.13mm Inner Barrel

75'- 7/10
150'- 9/10
200'- 10/10
250'- 9/10
300'- 8/10

As you can see the Orga did perform better than my Madbull in the end, however my Madbull performed better than the Orga at 75', but that's a little close for a sniper to shoot from, it's dangerous lol. Also I will note that when using the Orga Magnus HD my FPS dropped around 25-30. I will state again that my nub is not great but the Orga performed very nicely. All in all it did better than my Madbull and I would highly recommend it.

Yes I am definitely pleased with my purchase.
A little off the topic of the barrel but I have a question for you, I cut my Macro line too short :( and I cannot put the Reg in the stock, also, I have no rails or extra scope rings to attach it to the bottom of the stock. I have been using electrical tape to hold it in place but it's a pain in the butt to take out and put in the magazine, as well as changing CO2. Any thoughts on how to hold in on the rifle?
Also I'm sorry If I should have PM'd you instead.

Bobcat. With your M700 what did you find better, HPA or CO2?
What was quieter? Advantages and disadvantages?
Also, how many shots do you get from a CO2 canister?

Hey 1Tonne,
First off, I was away at my field for the weekend… Camped out, lots of fun picking people off… Sorry to anyone who contacted me between Friday and now…

Anyway, I enjoy using CO2 much more than HPA. This is for several reasons:

1) Lighter Weight
2) Not having to be attached to your gun at all times
3) Easier to wear ghillie, no need to have a tank on your back

The list could go on, but I'm tired…

On a really action packed, 6 hour day, you'll need all of 3 cartridges. It could last you up to 90 shots. Today I used 1 cartridge (12g) and was still able to last all day.

Obviously, CO2 still has its disadvantages. Some things like:
1) It phase changes, from liquid to gas, this could cause issues if something happens…
2) Cool down: unlikely for a sniper, but if you're taking shots in really rapid speed, it may happen.
3) Having to change the CO2. You never know how many shots you have left, but its still fairly easy to change.

Again, list may or may not go on, I'm tired…

As for quietness, Its practically the same. Just depends on what you have on the end of the barrel… Thats right NSA, I never said suppressor or silencer…

As for Chameleon, The barrel has been cut short by about 8 inches. It can use a 455mm inner barrel and fit perfectly from chamber to threaded adapter.

Bobcat, thank you for your "guide", great work and info. I am very new to this sport. I have never played a real game, yet but have played vicariously via Scoutthedoggie's videos from Scotland. Just ordered a KJW M700 from Evike. Kinda having buyers remorse, as I am a bit older than most of the guys. Retired Navy in country Navy Vietnam vet. Still learning the terminology, hop up, nub. Anyway just wanted to give you a "Shout out". Take care and all the best!

Hey Oreo, this is good testing. However, I have some big concerns before anyone should take this as gospel.

First, those kinds of winds can cause some major accuracy issues that may contaminate the readings. Especially at long ranges. Second, a single 10 shot reading isn't exactly a solid test. Three to ten rounds of testing with 10 shots each would give you more solid results. Testing on calmer days would also be a big thing. The difference between a miss due to barrel design vs a stronger gust of wind will be imperceptible.
