thread size

Hello first post here!

I have just piced up a cheap vsr that needs abit of attention, the main problem i have is that the RIS mount threads on the top of the receiver are not catching the bolts tight.

Dose anyone no the size of these and what would be the bore up side if i was to cut a new thread in them?
