tm vsr-10 misfeeding

Hello everyone I have a problem that requires the expertise of this forums member.
I have a vsr-10 that is built from two vsr-10 a old tm that has a imitation wood stock and a boneyard jg bar-10.
I ' m currently using the jg stock but the hop up and stock barrel is from tm , along with mapleleaf bucking and dangerwarx hop up arm.
Every time I cycle my bolt too much bb seems to be release from the mag causing bbs to spill out and most of the time spilling inside the outer barrel thus preventing me from fully cycling the bolt.
I tried so far three types of magazine G&P 55rd, jg, and bravo vsr-10 mag, out of all of three bravo seems to work most of the time without any problem (65% of the time it works fine).
Am I missing something here but is there suppose to be something blocking bbs from entering the area where the bolt move back and fourth?

so do anyone have any idea on how i can fix this problem?
And once again thank you for reading and posting folks

Is there a black piece of plastic in the hopup. It is in the shape of an upside down "U"? This piece normally helps to stop double feeding.

It sounds like a problem with that "U" piece 1tonne asked about. When you put your magazine into the rifle, it will depress the slider on the mag, releasing bbs - so any mag should be ok if they are all coming out. Check and see if the U piece is potentially turned around backwards (180*). There should be a slight ramp/bevel on it causing the bbs to go forward into the barrel. If yours are going back towards the cylinder, it could just be flipped around. Also check for damage on this piece (if its an older/boneyard gun, this can easily happen), or make sure the spring is still "springy" and not damaged, crunched, or seated all the way in the unit. Good luck!

The U piece is there to stop the bb's from getting further, while the cylinder cycles.
When the cylinder nozzle is disengaging the U piece(Using the "slight ramp/bevel"), the nozzle loads the next bb.

If the U piece is missing the spring, then the force from the spring in the mag, would force the U piece up, and load more then one bb.

If the spring is missing you can use a pen spring, you might just have to cut it down depending on the size.

The "U" piece missing the spring would definitely cause this problem - it's purpose is to allow one bb into the bucking when the bolt is cycled, but to also stop other bbs from entering after the one.

Well, in a strange coincidence, I am now getting this problem too (double feeding). I put in an ABB ring on the front of my bucking when the problem began. I have the spring and u piece in correctly, but I have another theory that might be causing it: Since the ABB ring is very tight on the bucking, it could be causing a "mushroom" type effect where the end of the bucking flares out just slightly. Could this cause a bb to slide past it, either forward or backward? I would really like to keep the ring in there as I am getting awesome sealing, but the double feed is terrible.

There is a small divet in the u piece that kind of holds the bb in place while the bolt is cycled. If I deepen that divet (with a small, round dremel bit or something), could that "hold" the bb more strongly, not causing the mag to push it to the side loading another bb in? I think I have a spare, so I might try it - just thinking out loud

Also check to see if the U shape piece is worn. There is an angled bit on the U that the cylinder pushes on.

i got the spring working but i don't think is strong enough because the magazine lip doesn't seem to be touching the loading area and mag release is pretty loose. And every time i put in a magazine it automatically pops out a little at the front. I don't think is a magazine issue since it does the same to these brand JG, G&P (worst one bb just sprays out after loading) , Bravo , And what ever brand that evike sales for $8 (it came in a zip lock bag with a made in china sticker nothing else).
I also notice today on a bravo/WELL MB07 there they have a large spring pushing down on the mag release button to give it tension I can't tell if the original vsr-10 have that but the WELL MB07 does so either im missing a part or my old springs are worn out.

Could be an issue with the mag catch or mags themselves. Try replacing the mag catch and springs and maybe using a TM or JG mag and not the WELL and AGM ones.

Deepfire 55round mags are known for double feeding

Deepfire mags in my opinion are wank. Best VSR mags I've seen are TM ones followed by JG by a gap in quality.

Try using a TM mag catch,OP. I have not had much experience with feeding problems with my VSRs,but I'll try help as much as I can.

To fix Deepfire mags fully load them up so the spring is under tension and leave it like that for a week.

#18 ·
So deepfire mags double feed because the spring is too strong?

#19 ·
That is correct. I guess you could cut the spring down if you wanted.

#20 ·
Nah...i'd rather not dissect a mag if I don't have to.

#21 ·
They are pretty easy to put back together.

Oh, ALWAYS go with the tm mags whenever they're an option! they're much better than any other. a little more expensive, but they'll last long and function well.
