Hey guys, I've recently purchased a Tokyo Marui mk23 and the hop up seems to be acting up. Using .2 gram bbs I get about 50 feet of range before they seem to fall (on max hop). When I take the slide off to adjust the hop wheel it seems to have worked itself all the way to the other side disengaging the hopup. If you guys could shed any light on this matter it would be greatly appreciated.

Clean it with rubbing alcohol - or better yet, take it apart and clean it with soap and water very thorough.
Also, use at least 0.25 or heavier BBs.
If still not enough hopup, bend that u shaped metal part that presses the hopup rubber.

Thanks for the advice, I tried doing that but it seems that the hop up wants to stay in the off position. I've ordered an ra tech hop up wheel and a maple leaf bucking in order to combat this problem.I've also researched this problem and it appears that the hopup wheel itself needs to be shimmed, I'll try all of these ideas and let you know how it goes.

#2 problem

Well since I was going to make a thread like this for my problem why waste this one I will post my problem. WhenIi filled my magazine up when I got the gun I took about 10 shots then it died all the gas was gone so I thought it was the magazine so I tried to fix it this didn't solve the problem I bought two new ones and those had the same problem when I would turn the barrel facing the ground I could see the propane shooting out the end like a fountain. I think the o-rings are dried out its brand new doesn't have 50 rounds through it should I take it to a tech or do something else what do you guys suggest? :bs:

Thanks,
Jacob

I'm not quite sure about the piston/o-ring, I haven't needed to disassemble that (yet) haha. Sorry I couldn't help you Jake.

Update: Today I got the hop up to work! I swapped the stock hopup to the maple leaf monster bucking and added a maple leaf I key.
