Hello,

I just finished fixing the leaky mag and now when I shoot, the range is terrible. Its like 30 meters I would say. I bought the gun few months ago pretty cheap (50€) used and the mag was leaking because the hard pressure gas I used. Now the leaks are fixed but the range is a problem. Any advice?

ps. Personally I have almost no experience with gas guns, so anything noob-related info is appreciated.

30 meters is actually pretty low for that pistol. They're known for being "mini sniper rifles." Maybe throw in an VSR-10 G-Spec barrel and bucking and use some heavy ammo. That will boost up the power, range, and accuracy quite a bit.

I bought a brand new TM MK23 and they're great! Mine shoots .30g BB's around 45-50m straight as a laser. I've installed a PDI 6.01mm tight bore barrel.

I tried the Nineball and Reaps A+ VSR hop rubbers, but they performed poorer than the standard TM rubber and only added 5 FPS.

I'd recommend the PDI TBB and maybe a new TM hop rubber. Also, have a look at the small metal hop arm (bit that pushes down on the hop rubber) as it may be slightly bent. Gentle pressure may help.

I run mine on Abbey Predator Ultra, which provides the same FPS as Green Gas.

I get 325 FPS with the standard hop rubber and PDI TBB, basically an extra 10 FPS.

I use a Strike Systems belt holster for the gun and have 5 spare mags for running it as a primary.

Okay so I cleaned the barrel and washed the bucking. Now its shoots a little better and straighter, maybe about 40meters? I think it could shoot ever better still, but im happy now :) Enough range for a backup.
Glad to hear it.

Replacing the hop rubber might bring it up even more. But now you got it working I'd leave well alone. :)

Could of interest what gas are you using?
