Tourny lock

Hey guys

Hey I am getting my classic airsoft rifle up and running, and am planning on using the rifle in a large game over memorial day weekend. And since I am going to be running an external air source the site is requiring that I have a " Tournament Regulator Lock ". I have looked around and really haven't seen anything, either from paintball or airsoft websites.

So this is why I am coming to you guys. If anyone knows where to find a lock it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you running a mini secondary regulator or just one? I've seen those where you stick a ziptie through to lock it.

In paintball if your regulator requires an allen wrench or other tool to adjust it, you usually don't need a tourney lock.

I am getting a set up from a guy over on classic airsoft.net, and it will be running a mini second reg.

That reg has threads around the base under the adjustment knob, however, you have to pop it (adjust knob) up to adjust, and they (someone) have tape that changes color when you move it, so you could easily jerry-rig a tourney lock.

I was thinking of making something out of aluminum on my lathe to be honest.

Have it set and then put zip ties through it to keep it set.

NOW THAT IS STUPID SIMPLE!

Could make those fairly quick on my lathe to be honest!

I had an idea of something along those lines, but having grub screws on the bottom to grab onto the regulator, and taking off the knob to adjust it, and replace it with an allen bolt. Then have another hole bored through the top of the part, and have this threaded so you can screw through it and keep you from using anything to adjust the reg.

If you wanted to go dirt cheap, just get some PVC pipe that fits and drill a hole through it lol.

But the PVC would look "cheap" and cheesy.

Let me see what the field owners say, and I will let you guys know. And when I get my reg I will make something like this up.

I wouldn't worry about the looks since it won't be showing, but since you actually have the stuff to make it look nice, then why not I guess.
