Hi guys, I'm new to the sniper forum, I've been sniping for a few years now with a UTG MK96, but I've been looking up some gas guns lately and I found a G96, but the guy has no idea what the brand was, he's selling it for $130 and says he bought it for over $400 a couple years back. I'll include the link (for the record I saw it first!) Airsoft Mauser G96 Bolt Action Green Gas Powered Sniper Rifle

If anybody can just give me an idea of what brand it could be would really be helping me out!

Thanks for the answers guys! They are pretty good rifles correct? Because I was trying to decide between that and a KJW M700, although its a $30 price difference usually it kind of worries me that the price has dropped so much. Any opinions on the rifle?

Hold on!! This is not a g&g g96. This may be a gas rifle, but the bolt is much different than the g&g, which uses a very similar system to the tanaka/kjw m700's. It is most likely a well g96 or something.

Also, I would suggest the m700 over this rifle. It is very easy to upgrade (I have no idea if the l96 is or not) and find replacement parts for.

Thank you, I've been looking at this and for one the hopup adjustment is not on the rail, the rail is a picatinny rail not a regular rail like on the G&G, and I would agree with you about the WELL except for the fact that the magazine is not as large as the WELL's. I have no idea what this could be.

I agree about the Kjw M700.. I have one, and I fell in love right away!! Its such a toss up between the M700 and my beloved M28!

If your wanting a gas rifle, the M700 is a beast of a rifle after some minor work is done.
I think I've made up my mind about this gun, I'm probably going to buy a KJW M700, any thoughts on what I should upgrade first? I was thinking the first thing would be a TBB because the 6.1 barrel will not work. If you could suggest any upgrades I'd appreciate it.
