Hey All
I just wondered about laylax upgrades for the Maruzen Type 96.
Do the PSS-2 upgrades work in the Type 96? or just the PSS-96 upgrade parts?

Yes the PSS does. All it stands for is Perfect Sniper System. It's all APS-2 stuff.

Wrong. The L96 has some parts which are specific to it, not all of the parts are interchangeable.

Do yourself a favor and get the one which are for sure made for the L96.

Hmm I think you are wrong on that one. I bought a bunch of PSS parts for my gun. True there are some parts that are L96 only but there are parts that fit both. What parts are you looking to purchase for your gun? That would be the best part if you let us know what you are trying to buy for your gun. Don't leave an open ended question like that. Being more specific will get all your questions answered faster.

I believe a couple parts are interchangeable. By no means the majority of them, though. If you go with all PSS2 parts for the 96, you'll have wasted a lot of $.

Just get the PSS96 parts, then it's just drop-in upgrades. Simple.

I bought these parts for my L96 and they all fit.

Next time ask will these parts fit and anyone who reads this will be able to help you out better than I could.

Makes sense. If I still had my old packaging I'd find which ones are labeled PSS2 and put those up as well. Some are listed as "PSS96" online, but the manufacturer packages the same parts for both the PSS2 and PSS96.

Yes it does. Just make sure you get the one for the type 96.

Also keep in mind it requires AEG barrels. If you have more questions about compatibility or anything else, check out my upgrade/disassembly guide on here. It has 95% of airsoft parts that work in the type 96 included in it, as well as my opinion and the build quality of said parts.
