TYSON's Classic Army M24

Well, I've decided to dedicate this thread to my favorite sniper rifle.

Now, it seems plain as of now, but I want to make it nice inside before I build up the outside.

Before I talk about the outside, I'll add my very current list of upgrades that I have just ordered (like a day ago, lol)

So I'll be putting these parts into it, as soon as they ship from Atlanta all the way up to me in Edmonton, Canada.

-Prometheus 6.03 534mm inner barrel
-Laylax high pressure piston
-Laylax Power accuracy cup for piston
-Laylax 150 spring
-Firefly hard bucking
-Firefly buffer rubber

So that will cover most of the internals for now (at least until I can pick up some more R-hop/ER-hop patches).

Now externally I also ordered the Classic Army Muzzle break for the M24, so that extra inner barrel length should be covered up nicely by that.
Next on the external list is a good scope and bipod. I'm thinking a quality UTG scope and some type of strong bipod (not sure on any brands yet).

Once all that is done I may consider painting the gun (although not sure what I'll do yet).

Anyway, thanks for reading. If you have any questions, advice, or anything, feel free to add it. I'll continue to update this as parts come in an so on.

I have a scope that would look killer on that rifle ;)

Pm me or check out my sales thread.

You are going to love that rifle man. I have had 3 or 4 of them and each of them were great rifles.

Nice looking rifle, and excellent build. I know what scope woogie is offering, and he is right, it will look great on that rifle. I am reading that the CA M24 is released again, I may have to pick one up when they get state-side.
Nice looking build man... Looking forward to see the result!

Can't wait to see how it preforms! Is that the civy version?
I dont know how much money you want to spend on a bipod but I have heard Harris bipods are good.
I am not familiar with the FireFly Nub. Does it work much better than a standard rubber nub? The supplier review indicated that there was some "fitting." Is this some trimming on the nub itself or to the hop-up arm? $20 seems steep, but if it really improves accuracy could be money well spent.
Thanks everyone, can't wait for the parts to get here so I can put them all in (its like Christmas in November). My model is the civilian version, I chose it because I figured it would look better with the muzzle break on it. For the scope, I'll definitely check out yours ,woogie. As for the bipod, I currently own a NC-star one that I have on my WELL, but I wasn't super impressed with the quality, so I'll be looking for a more expensive/better built one.

I'm kinda experimenting with the FireFly rubber, at least until I toss in an R-hop. So once thats all in and adjusted I'll let you know how it is and if I see any major improvements.

Thanks again everyone.
I found that following the barrel polishing guide yielded excellent results! It made me decide to put off a barrel for awhile.
I'd say check out Modify internals but you've already made your purchase. Keep us posted on results :) I love test results....

Absolutely, I think currently my parts are still located someplace in Georgia. Unfortunately my order was kind of delayed because the goggles I ordered were actually out of stock. Oh well, still can't wait for these to come in. Hopefully my second order will arrive soon, that way I can check out the muzzle break on my rifle

Minor external/internal update:

Just got my tactical muzzle brake and Laylax 150 spring in today. I'll wait for all the other internals to arrive before I put the spring in, but in the mean time, here's the rifle with the muzzle brake on, enjoy.

Very nice man..... so what are you going to do for a paint job ;)
Well I'm currently working on a AOR1 NSW impression, so if I decide on some paint it will most likely be tan or something. That is, if I feel confident enough to paint "my precious" lol.

HUGE UPDATE (ALL CAPS NEEDED)

So my internals finally arrived

So while I got them all into my rifle I decided to take some pictures of the stock parts and my upgraded parts.

We'll start with the piston, spring and accuracy cup.

To the left is the Laylax high pressure piston, accuracy cup and 150 spring. And to the right is the stock Classic Army setup. Unfortunately the I didn't get a new spring guide, and the stock one is smaller in diameter then the Laylax spring, so the proper spring guide is soon to come.

Next I moved onto the inner barrel and hopup. I'm replacing the stock barrel with a Prometheus 534mm barrel (AKA Sig 550 length). In the picture you can see the stock barrel to the left of the Prometheus.

And here you'll see how perfectly the muzzle break covers up the extra barrel length of the Prometheus barrel.

In the hopup I installed my Firefly Hard bucking and Firefly buffer rubber. You can't see the bucking in the picture, but the red rubber is kind of showing.

Still have a few more internals to add soon (R-hop, spring guide, DIY mods) but its mostly internally complete. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of land to shoot on (I live in the city ) so I won't be able to field test everything right away. But in time I will, and I'll post the result in this thread.

Bonus: I also got a ton of externals for my G&G M4 today, so if you want to see a sweet looking gun check out my gun album located in my signature. Thanks everyone, and enjoy.

Looking good... What nub did yo use?
When you test it tell me how's the Firefly bucking?
I plan to R-hop mine but I'm too busy at work and with the project I've already start.

Sure thing, the nub is the hard Firefly buffer type (flat bottomed). Eventually I'll R-hop mine too, then I'll just use the stock bucking for it. But I'll probably but the Firefly bucking into my M4.
Will look much better with a scope on her :D
Oh ya, speaking of that I should put my tracking number in, lol. It's been Christmas early for me this year. Except I bought it all for myself... And I didn't find it under a tree... But it still feels the same.

Can't wait for the scope!!!
ER-hop beats + LRB everything.
Other than that, you are pretty much set.

Ya, if I go with an ER over an R-hop I might just send my barrel to someone. I don't have the tools for that. Can't wait to get this gun out to a game. Still waiting on a few things though.
