I have a bit of cash to spend and I'm wondering what to do with it. I currently have an MB-01 (l96 clone) and am wondering weather to upgrade that or buy a brand spanking new TM vsr 10.

If you recommend the upgrading option, could you please give me some suggestions as what to do. I currently have all stock parts exept for a madbull TB barrel.

The VSR's are considered to be one of the best platforms in the airsoft sniper world. They're pretty good stock and when they're upgraded they're amazing. However, I'm sure your L96 with a tightbore will be better than a stock VSR, so I'd continue upgrading the L96! Start with a new hop up (hard if you shoot over 450 and soft if you shoot below 450).

I would play around with the L96 man.

If you don't know a ton about modding a rifle, stick with the cheaper rifle and learn off of that. I would hate to have you get a VSR and wind up messing something up and having it cost you a ton of money to repair.

Yeah, they take AEG cut barrels. Definitely stick with the L96 if you already have it. They can be made into great performers even without spending a lot.

^Agreed. Frankly, even replicating what I did to my type 96 on a VSR is taking a mill and about 10 hours of work so far. Now, this took about an hour and some tape on the type 96.

I'v had a look around at some mods/upgrades and you are 100% right. The tm is looking a bit complicated for a numpty like me
I'm gonna stick with my l96. so, are there any kind of hop up chambers that will fit my barrel as its not that old really.

I have been using a stock barrel in my PDI chamber while waiting for a new tb.. It fits but it's not the best as it's kinda fiddly to make it sit right.. you also need do mod your rubber (the ridge that make's it sit straight)

I would recommend the HP Hop-up chamber. It's like the PDI, but simpler and less than half the cost. The money saved can be spent on a decent barrel such as a MadBull V2 or anything you have the funds for.

I'v already got an aps2 madbull v2. Will that fit the HP hop up chamber?

edit; There are no HP chambers anywere. I can't find one. Does anyone have a link for one thats not sold out?
