hey i was thinking of buying this upgrade along with the utg l96 http://www.trinityairsoft.com/p-1644-utg-shadow-ops-upgrade-kit.aspx and i was wondering if i would need to upgrade the trigger as well?
The utg l96 has been known to make a very good upgrade platform, but you would be better off buying higher quality parts. Talk to fuzzywolly or just go through the stickies and you'll find what you need to. Also be sure to create a intro post before people get on you.

Firstly make an intro. I have this kit and I would say that you should really upgrade the trigger. Especially if you want the gun to last. It is a surprisingly good kit. To behonest though for just a little more I would go over to xfire airsoft and buy a piston and metal spring guode there. I would also keep the spring that comes with the gun.that way you have better internals and you dont have to upgrade the gun's trigger yet.

Oldgreg, welcome to the forums! Please make an intro post in the proper section so that we can get to know you. ;)

Also, there is a ton of information regarding this, and I suggest you read some of the stickies in the "Others" section.

I would say, in a nutshell, that you need to reinforce/replace your trigger box in order to use the spring in that kit. If you don't have the cash for a new box, simply use the cylinder parts included in the kit, disregarding the spring.

I have this kit, or something similar. It has my gun shooting quite hot (but I manage to still get in games chronoing with .4's (shhh dont tell lol). It's a nice kit if you want to get into sniping but nothing too hardcore. For that price it's a steal. Your trigger will die over tie no matter what this will just make it happen faster. In the long run if you are going t upgrade everything to the top quality, then skip this and save up for everything else. If not, then this is a great option.

Oh, and about the trigger, I upgraded my sears and it works so far so good.

It may seem like a very cheap upgrade except trust me, I have it, and it is a very nice trigger upgrade for hardly any cash :)

I was so warry when I bought it because I thought the internals were the only metal part. Except when it was delivered and I opened it I found that it was FULL metal, and good quality metal too! I was so happy I didn't blow mymmoney on a Zero Trigger.

Although, time will tell how long it holds up... But still a great buy

Well I am running a Polar Star 90 degree piston with Delrin glide rings, M150 to M170 spring (I use them for different games), a Polar Star 7mm stainless steel spring guide with ball bearing, teflon cylinder... and that's it I believe :)

I don't want to take over this thread from the OP :S
