Gun: TSD SD700 VSR10 clone/imitation
Problem: As you can see in the picture, my cylinder/bolt is not lined up properly with my receiver, as part of the end of the cylinder is sticking out 1-2mm into the hole in which the spring guide stopper is supposed to fit snug. This causes the spring guide stopper to tilt, which causes the bolt to not go all the way forward when the gun is cocked, which in turn leads to a loss of compression between the cylinder head and the hop up bucking.

In the following pics, you can see that the end of the receiver is a bit loose.
When the end is stretched out (1st pic), the alignment seems to be fine, as the bolt is not allowed to move forward to the point of misalignment. However, when the receiver is put at rest, the end is obviously not stretched out, allowing the bolt to move forward to the point of misalignment.

Receiver end stretched out:

At rest:

If someone could please compare these pics with their rifle, that would be great. Right now, I'm thinking I either need to replace the receiver or the bolt/cylinder. I took these pics of the misalignment when the cylinder is empty, and the only two objects I used were the receiver and the empty cylinder. Any other parts of my rifle do NOT have with the problem.

I believe the rear part of the reciever is loose as normal. On mine it only uses one screw to hold in place and the lower screw goes through the stock. If it feel too loose try and tighten the very last screw on the rail up top. As for the handle not going into your reciever is strange bro. I cant think off hand why not, unless something is not in propper place with the trigger box "sears or spring guide stopper" or there is an issue inside the cylinder itself. Maybe something broken? All that comes to mind right now buddy. I hope we can figure it out though. if worse come to worse I have a spare reciever if needed. I have a spare cylinder as well but someone else on here was looking for one and I already sent him a PM earlier today. I will let you know. But I would rather get yours up and running without having to buy my stuff,lol.. Open your cylinder and check it out.

Thanks for the reply! My handle actually goes into the receiver fine, it's just purposely misaligned for the picture. My problem is that the end of the cylinder is intruding into the hole in which the spring guide stopper is supposed to fit snug in. Here is a labeled pic of the problem:

I'm almost sure this is causing the bolt to not return fully (still 1mm or so to go) when it is cocked. Here are pics showing the bolt, cocked vs uncocked:

(cocked, no matter how hard I push, the bolt will still have 1mm to go. This causes an air leak between cylinder head and bucking).

(uncocked, see that the bolt can fully return and is flush with the receiver)

However unlikely, it is possible something happened during the manufacturing of the cylinder and they missed a bit when cutting out the slot. I have no idea what could be wrong other than that. My suggestion is to file the bit of cylinder that is sticking out into the guide stopper. If it doesn't work, the worst that can happen is you put a little energy into filing for nothing.

No problem. I will take a pic of my bar10 bolt/receiver when I get the chance. I was going to maintenance it soon anyway.

Check those two pics again, they are almost identical. In that pic it looks like your bolt is all the way forward unless you are talking about that little sliver of space in between the handle and the receiver.

I checked both, I sent pics.. I just now saw your reply on here buddy. I dont understand what the issue could be. Like in my pm to you, one of mine had that sticking out and the other one did not. and then cause it pissed me off cause they werent the same in my bar10's I checked my m28 and its smooth and flush. I would just get out a dremel and use a small grind bit and go to town. I may now too since it seems my one shouldnt have that sticking out,hahaha.. I just need to locate my grinding bits.

EDIT

I tried to take pics of mine cocked but I could'dt due to my craptastic piston slam firing. I already am looking for another piston but having some troubles. I am sorry I cant go any further on this one buddy. I have been rotating my piston but it keeps going right back. it was already bad and worn all the way around.

I took pics but at the moment my sd card adapter is somewhere hidden in a drawer. I will post pics of cococked and uncocked of my bar10 in the morning.

Thank you for your replies. Masterjuggler and Ranger. @Masterjuggler, you don't necessarily have to upload the pics if you can't find your SD card, all you have to do is tell me 1.) If your bolt cannot fully return (1mm left to go) when it is cocked, and 2.) If the end of your cylinder/bolt is sticking out a millimeter or so out into the hole in the receiver made for your spring guide stopper.

Here are the reference pics again:
(for bolt/receiver alignment, try to imitate my position as best as you can, bolt handle needs to go all the way forward, cylinder should be empty).

Well I took the pics but of course, for the life of me I couldn't find that usb adapter, which is strange because i use it constantly. But anyway, I am not getting the problems you are getting with that last mm not going in. My cylinder is perfectly lined up with my receiver too. Like Ranger and I said before, Take a dremel or round file and go to town and take off about a mm. The worst that can happen is you wasted a little electricity on a dremel for nothing.

Thank you very much. That is just what I needed to hear. I'm gonna run to the store tomorrow, buy a round file, and see what I can do. If not, I'll buy a few parts from Mr.Ranger, who also confirmed the diagnosis of my problem.

you have the AA zero trigger I take it? You need to grind/file/sand the sides of the spring guide stopper. Every AA z-trig comes with a guide stopper that is too wide.
