Hey, I was wondering if any of you could help me out w/ upgrading my stock TM VSR 10. I have a few questions:

1. Do you need to change the cylinder to shoot 550fps? (i.e. Will it break?)

2. What trigger do you recommend buying? Laylax is just too hard too find/too expensive, PDI is (as far as I've heard) not good with non-pdi parts, I've heard mixed things about AA, and I'm considering buying from ASPUK, but I'm not sure.

3. If I do buy from ASPUK is there any problem with customs?

Thanks and any other info is appreciated!

1. Many people still use the stock cylinder but you can upgrade it if you wish.
2. Don't get Laylax. If it breaks you will have to spend another 250 to buy another. PDI has replacement parts. AA and PDI are probably the best non custom choices. There is springers s trigger which is better than both of those.
3. Not sure, but you will usually have to go through customs when buying PDI parts too depending on the website you buy from. If x fire or red wolf you will, if air soft atlanta you won't. I did a lot of research on wether you can import. The answer for air soft guns is yes. No license needed or anything. I found it on a government website. Also, I asked the us tarriff by email and they said its allowed. Air soft gun parts are even a section on the tarrif schedule. I would recommend calling the place where it's going through just in case.

Why? You need to give him details of why you recommend it. You can't just tell him he should get a full AA build because you have one.
There are many other companies as well. PDI, Laylax, EdGi, Springers custom works.
Although AA is a very good value and very good parts, there are other companies with equal or even better parts.

I actually don't have a vsr but my friend has a vsr with a full action army build and it works wonderfully. Also the majority of vsr users have a full action army build. Pdi and Laylax are way to expensive in my opinion. I'm just not that big of a fan of edgi other than there barrels.

A VSR with full PDI other than hop up will work wonderfully too.
PDI is not that expensive. Only a bit more than AA. If you buy off x fire though.
And if you get a custom EdGi cylinder assembly I heard it will perform just as well.
The majority of the VSR users have AA because of the great performance for the money. Pretty much equivalent with Laylax and PDI.

AA parts are very good. The only thing PDI has on AA is the 9mm springs, which are easier to pull. AA has teflon cylinders which cycle better though.

Also don't forget airsoftpro. They're almost just as good but half the price. $130 for a full cylinder set + zero trigger, beat that AA/PDI! :hehe:

Their cylinders are just plain steel though, so the bolt cycle is a tad less smooth. But they also offer nickel coated cylinders which are a little better. And honestly, that doesn't matter too much, you need to pull a spring anyway. When I started out I was concerned about the force required to operate a spring gun, nowadays I'm used to it and I don't care for fancy teflon cylinders. I run an airsoftpro setup (plain steel cylinders) in all my spring guns nowadays (as far as cylinder/trigger group is concerned) and I love them.

ASPUK and airsoftpro are the same parts. The difference is that ASPUK buys their parts from airsoftpro and then sells them at a higher price. So if you're mainland Europe or anywhere else in the world that's not the UK, you're better off getting them directly from airsoftpro.cz

I see you regularly lending advice in the VSR section yet you don't personally own a VSR, interesting... Makes sense why most of the post are so short.

Regarding EdGI, have you actually used his parts or are you going off of other people's posts with this as well?

Eh, I still like the V trigger over the AA one.
PDI does have palsonite but I am not sure how well it cycles compared to the teflon one.
Either way, both are great choices.
