Hi,

I am looking to get a AA Z-trigger for my TM G-Spec and from what I have read and seen you have to make remove some of the plastic from the trigger guard to make it fit. Is this the case with the LayLax Z-Trigger and the Springer Customs?

Also a side question I am looking at basically putting a full AA upgrade parts into my VSR but with a LayLax spring and EdGi barrel, is there a lot of issues with the AA Z-Trigger I've seen people say they are fantastic but other people say they have issues but they have JG bar 10's? Can someone please clarify for me :) Sorry for the newbie questions just don't want to spend my money and get the wrong parts.

Thanks a lot :)

I have a JG BAR-10 and the AA Zero trigger and it works great, no slam firing or anything crazy.
The screws on the trigger box came loose a little after about 1k shots. One of them actually fell out. I put blue threadlock on the problem screws so that issue shouldn’t occur again.

I did have to file the trigger guard to fit properly as you were saying too.

You don't have to file anything down when fitting the Springer S-trigger. With the Laylax Z-trigger, you do have to file the trigger guard down.

To the OP, mine came with massive slam firing issues, it was due to my trigger guard and you might have problems with your plastic stock one. I bought the Angel Custom VSR-10 CNC Aluminum Reinforced Modified M5 Trigger Guard for AC Omega Trigger System. Theres two other models but you only want the OMEGA MODEL FOR JG BAR 10. I spent an extra $130 trying to fix it and finally figured it was the trigger guard. I had to buy a action army bolt handle, end cap, receiver and that angels custom trigger guard to finally figure out the problem...

I figured out it was the zero trigger spring guide stopper just being very sensitive and needed a metal one to hold it up properly. I plan to record a video tonight and upload it so people can see what I am talking about.

How can a trigger guard cause problems? It has nothing to do with any moving parts in the rifle. If the zero trigger spring guide stopper keeps falling down, I guess I see your point, but the notch in the groove on the stock one should already prevent the spring guide stopper from falling down.

On my trigger guard I used a drill bit and filed some of the notch away so the 1/8 inch of the bottom of the spring guide stopper could sit deeper into the trigger guard allowing the spring guide to sit more flush. Maybe your stock trigger guard was off speck. If your notch was too deep you could have just filled it with plumbers putty or thick glue.

On the AA trigger and AA cylinder I just installed, I had to bang hard with the handle of a screw driver to get my spring guide stopper in. There is no way it will drop out.

In the long run a CNC aluminium reinforced trigger guard is better and I may buy the Angel Custom one since its reasonably priced. Thanks for the tip on which model works best.

I did the same modification as in the video below then I used [furniture] 1/3 inch foam pads with a sticky back. I cut small pieces and placed them in the hollow part so I could custom fit the spring guide stopper and get the trigger guard more flush.
