hello everyone, I need help about upgrading well's vsr 10 clone (MB03).
I did some research on the topic but I want to be sure and get the confirmation from someone that did this before and has some experience.
so, base rifle is well MB03 and the upgrade parts that I found are:

-Action Army VSR-10 Specialized Trigger set (comes with a piston)

-Action Army Cylinder Kit for VSR-10

-Action Army VSR-10 Spring Guide

-Action Army VSR-10 M170 Spring

-Action Army VSR-10 Smart Hop up Chamber

-Maple Leaf Omega Nub

-Maple Leaf MR Hop Up Silicone Bucking - 85 Degrees

Now, I have some questions:
1.Are these parts compatible with base gun primarily will the cylinder fit in the base receiver?
2. Are action army upgrade parts good (I know that they aren't the best but they won't brake on me?)?
3. Do I need any other part(s) that I didn't mention?
4. What is the best online shop to buy from? I found all these parts on unit 13 (I'm based in Europe)

I believe the well mb03 can't take action army cylinders as it's off spec (slightly smaller) from a true vsr, Airsoft Pro cylinders work though

Also what joules are you aiming for? M170 is a big spring.

Also have you got another barrel as a) stock barrel is too long for heavyweight BB's b) it's bridged so won't work with the ML hop rubber unless debridged or replaced.

thanks for the reply, so can I just put the same parts in the other cylinder? But I'm confused because on the side is stated that it is compatible with the mb03.
There are no joule restrictions on my field so why not :)?
Can you explain more about the barrel length? Didn't even know there is a difference between short and long barrel. :/

(Usual admonishment to make introductory posts as per the rules :) )

The mag release is also different, but Ron is right, the cylinder walls are thicker than standard and the Airsoft pro are (apparently) the way to go.

I can. Or, I can post you a link that covers the whole topic in more depth than I would in one post. The factors we're looking at are the BB weight, barrel length and power:

Diminishing returns. Not only does it become harder to cock the rifle, but you also subject the internals to far more stress. After around 2.5-3j the laws of aerodynamics start to seriously kick in so that you won't see any extra accuracy (and may in fact experience a loss of accuracy) and hardly any extra range due to the amount of drag being generated.

From my experience (three mb03 builds one about 12 years ago the other two about 7years ago) the AA cylinder is compatible with the MB03. The AA piston is not compatible with the stock MB03 cylinder due to the same OD and thicker wall making the ID smaller (what Jest was referring to) and vise-versa. So as long as you replace both cylinder and piston, you are good. Quality wise I am happy with the AA stuff but I don't have any other personal experience with anything else.

There are now a lot better build bases now but at the time, the MB03 was the way to go in my opinion as you could get them dirt cheap on sale and who cares about the off-spec cylinder if you were replacing it anyways. Also look at the Masada Arm or SS nub instead of the omega (I could not get the omega to work well for me). Also give the TTI hop up chamber a look.

I recently got one and have thus far put a: ESCW piston kit, m150 spring, EMG barrett fieldcraft 6.03 mm stainless barrel, EMG Barrett fieldcraft 90 degree trigger unit, action army hop up chamber, and the maple leaf 60 degree autobot bucking (EMG Fieldcraft parts because they are cheap, and compatible!)

With the trigger unit you have to take the bolt catch sear out( the thing that keeps it from firing when the bolt is up), and depending on the barrel you get you might have to drill the orange tip hole bigger in case the barrel is a little to short. DIY Barrel spacers are a must too!. But other than that it works great. Stock cylinder is holding up fine. Its also SUPER quiet with LT .43 bio's
