I'll post a WTB thread later but for the time being I wanted to know where you all buy your receivers from. Currently, the receiver I'm using is a friends, because the receiver I'd bought was riddled with stripped screw holes. And I'm sure my bud would love to have his receiver back.

So I'm in the market for a new receiver, and not a JG BAR one if possible. I've seen the one Maple Leaf makes, but I'm asking if there are other manufacturers that make them and where I could find them.

Thanks in advance!

Action Army, Maple Leaf, PDI, Tokyo Arms, all make receivers. Or you can talk to either Reliku or careful about making you a one piece upper.

Reliku's receivers look amazing, but unfortunately for the time being I'm a sniper on a budget and I have come to appreciate all the DIY mods at the expense of having a duct taped rifle (which to be honest, is something I can appreciate for those who underestimate its performance). And thank you for the replies.

@Reliku Do you make your receivers with an built in TDC mod?

As I recall Reliku can make you receiver with options like built in silencer, tdc mod, lrb mod ,ejection port (or without one), fluted or non fluted outer barrel. His receivers sure look amazing and I don't have any doubts about they function. I do have some experiences with reliku since he made lrb cap and silencer for my rifle and he is a cool guy to do bussines with. If I had spare 200 euro I wouldn't think for a second and I'd buy his one piece upper.

Yup, I can do a built in TDC. I admit they're a bit on the pricey side, but they're machined by hand & custom made which really drives up the cost.

If you're looking for a cheap solution to just fix your threads, you could try drilling them out and re-threading for M4. If you have a set of taps and dies then this is the easy & cheap fix ;)

"You get what you pay for."

And maybe when I know exactly what I want to do with my rifle and have the funds to support it will I make the decision. For now I'd like to give the receiver I'm currently borrowing, back. And find a good upgrade without breaking the bank.

The only receiver I'd trust is PDI due to fit, strength, and finish. The price is high, in that case Reliku's one piece is a steal for the price he's selling them for since it's one piece. (I think if it's $200???) Hell I'm thinking about building a VSR again because of it.
