Well as some of you know I am working on a scout rifle out of my bar-10. Well I currently have a PDI 330 sping in her and she is shooting way to fast for what I plan on doing. So I was looking around my work shop today and I can't seem to find my stock spring.
So I figured I would come to you guys. I was wondering if anyone had a stock bar10 or VSR spring they would be willing to let go of.
I am not sure if it will work or not, as I have a metal spring guide for the PDI VC springs...Can't remember if those are larger than the normal spring guides or not.
So any help would be great guys. Hit me up I am sure we can work something out.
Don't forget your going to loose a fair bit of fps from using the short barrel. It can be as much as 30 fps per 2" on the VSR, depending on bore size and compresion efficiency, so I would imagine it be the same on a BAR.
Re sealing it all up nicely, I took the opportuity to 'whip' both the barrel and nozzle ends of my hop rubber, useing nylon thread, when I was doing the VA SCS style nub conversion on my VSR, no teflon tape here when done correctly the results are outstanding, with pretty much 100% compression being achieved at the hop, I've now got an fps variense of less than 1, which, when you bare in mind that the only non stock items I use are the laylax piston (stock 'O' ring) and a 150 spring, thats pretty darn good
