Hey there guys,

Hey I was looking through that site and I came across this rifle. As many of you know I have been planning on making a custom rifle for a little bit now. And have been tossing around the idea of either the hpa or co2 powered.

Then I came across this rifle. Granted it looks like poo.. but aside from that I like the concept of it. I am not to thrilled about the fixed hop up or anything either. But for an "idea" rifle it is really good.

I have just been wondering how co2 would treat the hop up bucking. I am thinking about making it a true bolt action, with a mag for it, instead of the under rail thing.

Does anyone have any help with the thought of using co2 or anything? I have a machine shop at work that I am able to use when I want.

I am in the process of planning out the specs and what not. And am thinking about using a remote line for the co2. And with the slow shooting that is usually used for our types of missions. I have a rough idea of the parts I would need, just want to make sure about the reliability of it all.

If you're going to make a good custom rifle, a fixed hopup gun is not where you should start. This is just my opinion, but I would even think about using a fixed hopup gun for a project gun mainly because of the time and money you'll be putting into it. Even if the guns comes out sweet..you still have a fixed hopup.

They have CO2 gearboxes for AEG's so I'm pretty sure it won't mess with your bucking.

Oh hell no Embed... I would never think of using a fixed hop up.

That is one of the things that I hate about that rifle. But I really love the fact that it looks like the simple pump paintball guns that I use to use and work on

Well then why are you sill even considering this gun? For example, I saw that new APS2 SR-2 and I was like "Oh sweet that thing is awesome and cheap! I want one!" then when I went to check it out on WGCshop and saw that it has a fixed hopup I immediately closed the window and wasn't interested.

The SR-2 I'm talking about was made for Japan's super-short range shooting competitions and from the specifications of this Wa Shan thing, it sounds like it's for the same thing.

lol.... I am not thinking about buying the thing.
I am looking at it from a design point of view. I want to build a rifle from the ground up. And I am looking at this as "inspiration".

I was just curious about the CO2 on the internals. I am guessing I would be able to make it nearly silent.
