HCL

Hydrochloric Acid.

I mean soaking in it for about 10 sec. Then you have to soak it in NaOH (I use ~.5M again) for a little while, about 3 sec is good enough. Then, DO NOT USE CA on it for at least a few hours, CA reacts violently with the remnants of HCl on the patch (just a teeny bit keeps the bb crap off of it) and it will eat your patch.

Maybe less, you have to experiment for yourself. It depends on the size of the patch and the purity of your HCl. Drop it directly from the HCl into the NaOH, and then dry it off.

You can buy HCl granules, you would just mix them with water to mix up the liquid. Do some research into molarity and mixing solutions - this can go horribly wrong if you screw it up.
