Greetings guys!
Recently just bought a Action Army Hopup unit for my WELL along with an aeg 500mm Laylax barrel, Tried to install it today except I was having some issues with the rubber sealing with the cylinder head. I am using a 70 Maple leaf macaron hopup with a maple leaf nub, The issue is that the C clamp doesn't align properly with the barrel for the rubber to make a complete seal with the cylinder head,
I tried to take some pictures to explain the issue.
This is the barrel I purchased https://divisionxp.com/ITEM.php?item=d8f820fb3aa4372521af489920ea4fe6&lang=en

Here is the unit fully assembled https://i.imgur.com/WfajZSi.jpg

Here is the unit taken apart, the red is the open space between the cylinder head and rubber https://i.imgur.com/tOvD13J.jpg

Here is another picture highlighting how the C clamp is aligned with the hopup but there is a huge gap between the hopup and the rubber https://i.imgur.com/cq0AV5j.jpg

I have tried assembling the gun without the C clamp but then the new issue would be the inner barrel rotating within the hopup causing it to become inaccurate, Any suggestions to keep the inner barrel stable? Or would I have to buy a new barrel? Any help or advice would be great thanks!

Any suggestions on how to prevent the inner barrel from rotating? The rubber and bucking seems to be fine when the C hatch isn't put in, except thats the only thing preventing the inner barrel from rotating:ashamed:

Maybe the grooves on your barrel are not correct.
You should try a different barrel and see if the problem still happens, and if so maybe you could return your barrel to fund a new one:shrug:

That’s one downside to AEG barrels. Alignment. The vsr cut barrels are nice because your typical vsr bucking as the alignment tab on it that helps keep everything straight when installed into the chamber. For your AEG barrel setup, you need to install it as straight as possible, and then hold the barrel up to a well lit area and look down the inner barrel. Then apply hop with your finger or however you can, and make sure the contact patch is coming into the barrel window properly. If the mound/patch is all cockeyed, you need to fix the alignment and try again.
