Hey fellow snipers,

I'm new at this forum as I'm snipping and I'm loving it!
(I always played with AEG's until one month ago)

I bought a Well MB-03 last week and had to switch the spring to a weak one because here in Portugal our limit is the 374fps/1.3j.

I've changed the bucking too.

The thing is I'm using 0.40g BBs and my hop up isn't lifting them even if I push it all the way and i'm wondering why!

It seems like the trajectory is in the limit when it would start lifting, is doing a good straight trajectory but it doesn't do the lovely lift bump

I thought the BBs were too heavy for our FPS limit but it was "my" trusting mechanic that advised me to use them.

I have 575fps and can’t lift 0.40g, they just fall after 50m. Bb are too heavy, I’d say 0.3g would best. What bucking did you put in? Also stock hop up is just not consistent or accurate, I’d really really recommend saving up and buying action army hop up chamber.

Oh ok so the problem isn't the FPS at all!

He putted a Nine Ball hand gun/ VSR-10 TM compatible https://www.airsoftatlanta.com/prod...p-up-bucking-also-fits-p226-hi-capa-g26-socom

It seems that the .40g are too heavy but I see snipers shooting like .46g bbs and lifting them...

If I adjust my hop up to shoot .30g bbs it will pass the legal FPS's. She's doing 372fps if I adjust it to .40g. So i've to change the spring again 😁

I'll do the hop up chamber upgrade for sure! Do you have it on your sniper? If yes did you noticed the improvement that much?

Thank you very much for your reply/advice.
I'm looking for every advice about the upgrades to do on my sniper!

I think installing a 60° (or maybe even 50°?) maple leaf autobot bucking and maple leaf concave hopup arm would do the trick. Or, as mentioned earlier, Action Army hopup unit (and again a autobot bucking, and this time a maple leaf concave nub)

I don’t know about nineball personally, but from reading here it should be good bucking. So I think stock hop up chamber is at fault. With stock hop I’ve seen it change position after a shot and making next one random, it’s just not a good hop up. Yes, I have aa hop up installed with stock bucking (due to technical issues), I’m using 0.3g and indoors hitting 1.5L water bottle at 45m (150ft) 8/10 times. Aa hop up is probably the most worth it thing to buy.

As for fps, they chrono with your own bb? Not 0.2g? Odd.

Ok, i'll study the maple leaf bucking and nub to know more about it.

Do I need an open inner barrel to instal all that maple leaf bucking + nub and chamber?
https://www.airsoftextreme.com/products/maple-leaf-6-02-inner-barrel-for-vsr-g-spec

And I see that i've to upgrade the chamber for sure!

No, they chrono with .20g but if my hop up is adjusted to .40g she do the 374fps with .20g. If I open (adjust) it to lift .30g then when I chrono with .20g she do 470fps.

Thank you very much for your advices!
Keep them coming 😁

Yes, but I just used a file to remove the bridge on the barrel, took like couple minutes. I’m a new guy here and regarding airsoft snipers, but general consensus here is: maple leaf autobot hop up bucking 60 or 70 hardness depending on climate and fps. Maple leaf omega nub (it’s a small gum part that pushes bucking down onto bb). Action army hop up chamber, a must, no one would argue. 90 degree trigger depending on fps (only needed for powerful guns). Barrel doesn’t matter as much, but needs to be clean and decent finish. Barrel spacers are a must. Teflon tape (plumbers) on cylinder nozzle threads to keep it leak free and on the hop up bucking, to stop leaks between barrel-bucking. Lube everything properly. Good quality bbs.
Oh, I think you should investigate about joule creep, it should help in your case greatly. I’m not 100% understanding it, but as far as I do: you can make gun shoot 0.2g slower, but heavier, say 0.4g shoot faster at the same time. For ex. Stock gun 400fps with 0.2g and 300fps with 0.4g (numbers are random just for example). Now if it was built to joule creep it would shoot 375fps 0.2g and 325 0.4g. Again numbers are random, but it works in your favor. Try searching the forum there’s more info with better explanations.
For now, in your place I would get aa hop up chamber and work from there

This is a common problem with the stock hop chamber and arm in the Well MB-03. Nineball buckings were the gold standard years ago, great buckings for air seal but you need either a new arm or chamber to put enough down force on it to lift the .40
