Before i ask my questions i do want to say that i know a VSR build is much more affordable and easier, but for some reason im an idiot and want a gun that looks cool. :p I'm trying to put together some cheap parts but at the same time be pretty decent. Im trying not to go the exspensive route because im trying to get back into the airsoft sport so i dont want to put a few hundred into a gun and find out i dont have the time i thought i did to go out and play. So far the parts im thinking about getting Is the matrix upgrade kit and the matrix metal trigger.

Matrix Spring Upgrade Set for Type96 / APS2 Airsoft Sniper Rifles, Accessories & Parts, Sniper Rifle Parts, *Shop by Model, APS-2 / Type 96 - Evike.com Airsoft Superstore

Matrix Trigger Assembly for VSR-10 MB-03 MB-07 BAR-10 AGM APS2 & Comp. Airsoft Sniper Rifles, Accessories & Parts, Sniper Rifle Parts, *Shop by Model, VSR-10 - Evike.com Airsoft Superstore

Iv also stumbled upon a PDI clone hop up

PPS Brass Hopup Unit for Type96 / APS2 Airsoft Sniper Rifles, Accessories & Parts, Sniper Rifle Parts, Hop-Up - Evike.com Airsoft Superstore

Anyone know of a inner barrel and buckling that would be compatable for this? Exact links would be much apreciated :)

I also know of airsoftpro.cz but everything they have is out of stock so that site is useless for me. If you have any advice about this build or just better part options that you can send me links to that would be awesome. Thank you :)

Hold your horses bucko! Welcome to ASF!

1) I highly recommend you introduce and briefly provide some info for us abut your knowledge with Airsoft and spring rifles. That will give us and understanding of how much experience you have if the sort. Will this be your first rifle and have you done teching? Here are some links that will help you.

One of the good reads is from Reliku: http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/32-general-sniper-talk/15138-choosing-right-rifle-platform.html

I highly recommend checking out all of 1tonne's guides for help or PMing anyone for help.

2) Some cheap parts will be difficult to get for that rifle but it can happen. That rifle is a hybrid build that uses parts from the L96 and VSR-10 platform. You can use either a bridged barrel or unabridged barrel, so basically AEG or VSR styled inner barrels. Will not accept standard barrel adapters. That hop up until will not be compatible as it uses the TM L96 AWS style hop up. Only possible upgrade for that is to get the original TM inner chamber for that hop up unit. Consider getting a good quality bucking and nub to gain increased performance.

3) I have no experience using the PPS matrix kit, but the spring should be the correct ID and OD for the stock spring guide. The piston and spring guide for that set you have linked I believe does not fit since they are for Type 96 styles cylinders. I forget what the Type 96 style dimensions are, but I am confident they will not fit expect for the spring. As for the spring it will more than likely need to be cut to size and that may more Han likely result in a lower FPS. I do not have that spring so I cannot guarantee what I have said unfortunately. Consider getting a spring 200mm in length or below. Remember that having an upgraded spring may result in problems with the cylinder. Using a stronger spring has not been doing so well for my stock cylinder. You may more than likely have to considering finding the correct cylinder to use. As I have not located any cylinders in the US ATM that work well with the MB44XX your only reliable option is the one from AirsoftProCZ. I do however believe that any "quality" VSR cylinder will work.. I just hope so.

4) I would highly consider a 90 degree trigger unit instead of that 45 degree trigger unit as a 90 will result in better performance and reliability. I know you do not want to spend a lot as we all have he same intentions, but you have to consider the the results from not using proper parts or reliable parts. I cannot guarantee any working 90 degree trigger units for that rifle ATM, but if I do I will be updating my own thread about it.

Enjoy the forums!

Yes for the AirsoftPro units you will be needing both of those. A 90 degree cylinder set with a 45 degree trigger unit will not be compatible thus 90 degree cylinder set with a 90 degree trigger unit is needed in order to work correctly and be functionable.

Yup, and that is why if I ever get my hands on an AA VSR-10 trigger unit, I want to test it out and see if it is compatible with them for sure.

The L96 AWS is NOT a type 96/VSR hybrid, contrary to what some people believe. All parts are unique to this gun, except for the barrel and bucking, which are both VSR spec. Airsoftpro makes good parts, but you obviously need their L96 AWS parts. VSR parts such as triggers do not fit, even if they look similar (I can post you a picture to show the difference when I get home).

You can skip upgrading the cylinder and cylinder head, but do upgrade the barrel and bucking like Razinger suggests. Those are the most important parts

A 45 degree trigger does work but it is a poor option in my opinion. I would also recommend a 90 degree setup. You can get them for under $100 these days (airsoftpro).

And check out the threads on this platform, like Razinger linked you to. There's a wealth of information there

Thank for info reliku, im just waiting for the 90 degree trigger set on airsoft pro to come in stock. Its the only place i can find one. Also do you have any good suggestions for a barrel and buckling? I can never tell witch ones are compatable of not, nor do i know of a good length i should get.

I mean that is going to be decided on what you want to do. If you have lots of experience you can do R-hop and what not. Otherwise what most of the forum members recommend is the Maple leaf monster bucking (diamond) and the maple leaf concave nub (please note that the bucking and nub combo I have just stated only works for unabridged barrels). As for barrel you can that can work with that set up is the AA VSR-10 inner barrels. Do note that if you want a really good ratio ensure you know your cylinder volume and bb weight you are going to use with your inner barrel.
