Hello.
I am soon going to build a CO2 powered Striker AS01 for a friend using a Mancraft kit. I don't have a chrono however, so I don't know what FPS it will be shooting.
Given a 550mm barrel (6.03), roughly what PSI will I need to put on the regulator for it to shoot 500fps.
I don't know whether this calculation is even possible but any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Can kind of be calculated, but the other person would need the exact same parts.
I have heard of a way of chronoing without a chronograph, you shoot at the top, side, middle of the bottom, and edge of rim if the bottom of a soda or beer can.
I can't remember exactly what the numbers were, but I should have them to you in a couple days as my gun won't work until some parts arrive then.
Also, it varies if you use .20 or heavy BBs to chrono because of joule creep and the fact that heavier BBs just penetrate more easily.
I have .20, .25, .28, .30, .32, .36, .43, .45, and .48, the majority BLS, so I can probably give you results with whatever you or your friend will be gaming with.

It is a Mancraft SDIK shooting with CO2 from the Mancraft Mars Regulator.
The barrel is a 6.03 action army 550 mm with a maple leaf autobot 60 degree bucking.
I will initially set the gun to about 4 bar or about 58 psi.
We will be using bbs that are:
.40
.43
and .48 grams.

Ok, well in a couple days I'll be able to post that can penetration info.
I'll do .20 as well, just in case.

Unfortunately I do not have the budget for a chrono right now.
Well, when you have the funds, I would highly recommend one as they help with testing stuff, as well as diagnosing issues that would be harder to figure out without a chrono.
I like the Caldwell one for real guns, but Xcoretech and Acetech are supposed to be good too.
