This is a personal question that I want to ask to all of the members on this forum. I am relatively new at airsoft sniping and I don't have a sniper rifle. I'm still in the market. I live in Michigan so the weather gets pretty cold often and I realized that a gas rifle wouldn't be a good investment for me. I have three rifles to chose from rite now and I want some of your guys opinions on my choices.

1) UTG L96 AWP Spring Airsoft Sniper Rifle

Each rifle I would customize. Mostly I would put a suppressor on the barrel and do some internal work. I already saw what the UTG L96 looks like with a suppressor and I think it is awesome. I have no idea what the WELL rifles look like when a suppressor is on them and I haven't seen any modded versions of them. Hopefully if I end up getting one of the WELL rifles, you guys will be able to help me on getting parts to mod it (mainly parts for a suppressor kit and some internal upgrades).

This is the third rifle on my list. (WELL MB05 AWM APS2 Airsoft Sniper Rifle)

Please give me some suggestions, it would be highly appreciated.

Out of those three rifles, I would choose the UTG L96 out of them, WELLs have even worse parts than most clones.

If you were to get a clone get a Bar-10 but you should really just save for a TM, Maruzen, or CA.

Edit: if you are on a strict budget get the Bar-10 its only 130 for the whole deal.

Thanks OaKeY for your reply. I am for sure going to put upgrades into whatever weapon i choose, but as for now, I'm pretty low on money and the clones are all that I can afford. I did by the way, see a pretty cool UTG L96 with a silencer on it in this forum. I am still going to get some more peoples opinions on what rifle i should get before I choose one.

Spartan is also right, the BAR 10 would be a good choice as well, if you're looking for something better than all three of the above.

IMO don't get any of them. So many players have the UTG L96 or the WELL L96 you'll feel like just another stick on a tree.

Go for something a little more original, my advice is if it's gotta be a clone then a BAR-10.

If I were to choose from those three, I would choose the UTG. That brand seems to be better than all the other knock-off brands in your list. That third one looks pretty nifty but you can't always judge a book by its cover.
Now, maybe it's that you were attracted to the style of the of the AI L96 and the cool thumbhole design that made you want to get this sort of rifle. But the BAR-10 seems to perform very well for a clone from what I've heard but it has the design of a classic rifle, such as the R700.
If you want a rifle that can out perform all of these, then keep saving up more money and buy a TM VSR-10, a Maruzen, or even an upgraded M16 to perform as a DMR (or G3 if you want a more unique style)
Believe me, it's well worth it. I'd rather buy one, high-performing rifle, than three, low-performing rifles.

Thanks guys for all the advice so far, and I think I'm going to chose the BAR 10. I looked up the Bar 10 and Found it to have some really good reviews. I'm adding the Bar 10 to my list.

4) JG BAR 10 G-Spec Spring Sniper Rifle

I don't like how small the silencer is on it so I will probably get a King Arms one, and I'm going to invest in a larger spring, maybe a 200 or a 250, hell, maybe even a 300. If I do that, then I will get a tightbore and some cylinder and piston upgrades. As for now though, I just want to get the rifle and then I'll start upgrading.

Yeah, and not to mention a new trigger system or it'll (what the mods call it) shatter, especially with the 300.

If you're wanting to upgrade the BAR 10, simply get the Zero Trigger unit, and spring guide, and a spring. You'll be set for a long time, assuming that the cylinder has the same tolerances as it's TM counterpart.

I found out that the trigger system for the BAR 10 is adjustable, so I won't need a zero trigger if I get new sears. Also the trigger system is made of a somewhat high quality steel (I've been reading up on this rifle a lot), so it should last me quite a while.

I also found out that with the cylinder in the BAR 10, you can do a free mod that consists of cutting down the airbreak and it will make the rifle shoot from originally 350 fps, to about 410 fps.... or I think even about 500 fps. I will probably do this mod and get some other parts for it. Here is a list that I made. Tell me what you guys think of it.

-Laylax PSS10 VSR10 Trigger Sear
-Homemade PVC pipe suppressor (I want to make one myself because I also like big, BIG suppressors on any type of gun

)
-I'm going to add some foam to the trigger system to quiet down the trigger noise. (more on that on the web page that I will give in a second).
-edGI tightbore bull barrel 6.01 (preferably a 435mm barrel, otherwise a 430mm)
-Nineball hopup bucking (I'm going to keep the stock hopup because the stock hopup has a V-hop. - I heard they are pretty accurate-)
-Laylax Silent Dampener Cylinder Head
-Laylax spring guide
-Laylax PSS10 170SP Spring and Laylax PSS10 VSR10 Piston sear

Thats it for all the mods and aftermarket upgrades so far. I probably will get an aluminum cylinder one of these days, but not now because I don't feel like putting all of the money into it. (I personally like all of the stock mods that you can put on it -especially the airbreak one-)

I'm not sure if I should get the 6.01 or the 6.00 tightbore barrel. Please give me some advise on that.

Truly There is no real reason to get a 6.00 tightbore pretty much same performance, you'll have to clean it way too much. You'll be happy with a 6.01 tightbore.
