Hello snipers! I have a question I got $200 to spend on upgrades (just a start) for my bar 10 its deadstock right now. Thanks!

The first thing you want to upgrade on a sniper is always the barrel, bucking, buy or make barrel spacers and if you want to the hop up chamber itself.

Most definitely a Prometheus tightbore barrel, and either a R-hop, or an ER-hop.

Is the Prometheus barrels better than most brands? Also i play woodland mostly 100-250 ft. Shots if that helps

Prometheus is one of the top brands but if I'm not mistaking EDGI is better. Also look into a good bucking, since your bar10 is stock either go with a Nine ball bucking or a FireFly (soft) which is what I recommend.

Its looks like its hard to find a Prometheus barrel is hard. Any other upgrade that i need to do to reach 250' ft.?

There are a lot of threads on this forum already which cover upgrades. There is a whole sub-forum for VSR and clones also.

Firstly do as many DIY mods as you can! (e.g. TDC adjuster, shimmed hop up unit, teflon tape on cylinder head).

I would look in to R-hop and a new inner barrel.

I just cleaned/polished my barrel following a guide from this site and noticed a HUGE difference in accuracy.
Tightbore barrels are usually to get an increase in FPS not accuracy (Atleast my experience and knowledge).

Wrapped my entire barrel in paper until it was snug to slide back into the outer barrel - works great!

Going on what has worked for others I decided to go with the clear guarder bucking. We'll see how that goes.
