What would be a reasonable offer for the following upgraded Bar 10? The seller has listed no price, but "will accept reasonable offers." Obviously I want the best deal I can get, but don't want to low-ball the guy. Thoughts?

its a JG Bar10 ($100) With

EDGI 6.01 barrel ($70)

M170 spring ($35)

Custom bolt handle that makes pulling the spring really easy

a zero trigger with a red piston($180)

EDGI barrel spacers ($20)

3 BB guide rod ($35)

9 ball bucking ($10)

Thanks.

a good estimate is total that up and take off a percentage.

just an example... lets say it totals $200
50% off ($100) would be lowBalling
40% off ($120) might not be low balling if this is a truly used and abused weapon

Get the Idea?
How well has this weapon been maintained? If it has been maintained Well...
you are probably wont get much better than 20% off cost
so the one you are looking at totals $450

make an offer between $380 & $400 and expect to haggle.

Sorry... corrected for bad math.

So he has around $450 into it.. I would want to know what this "custom bolt handle" is. Sounds like he broke it and tried to fix it and now wants to get rid of it.

Does he have pics of it?

If it looks like a good deal I would offer around 390-400 for it... See if that will go... Kind of play his responce and go from there.

If he does have pics of her, post them and we can take a look for you.

OK from just looking at the pictures this is what I see and question... and a screen shot to help illustrate what I'm talking about.

1. It seems to me from the look of the cylinder that this weapon has seen a lot of use ..as depicted by the scratches.. but I could be wrong as that could be a design aspect (cosmetic).

2. Is it missing the safety lever?

3. I can see how the bolt handle could be very nice to rack the rifle. but I think it may be too big and get in the way more often than you may like. It really depends on how comfortable you feel during the trigger pull. As that is a far more important aspect to mastery of shooting accuracy than how easy it is to rack. A bad trigger pull can make you miss the shot.

Now I'm not the ultimate expert... but that is what jumps out at me.

Hope that helps

Going off of the same pictures that mojo posted.

1.. That thing is very scratched.... been used a ton. Mine doesn't have that many on it and I have been using it for two years of solid play.

2.. I know on the PDI V trigger doesn't come with a safety.. Now the zero trigger I don't think has a safety either.

3.. Umm.... honestly ..... that thing looks like crap! Looks like it is an easy fix to something that was broken or fooked up...

4.. look at the rail... that either isn't the right rail for the rifle or it is on back words.

I would also see if you can't get some pictures of the rifle out of the stock. Just to make sure that there is a zero trigger in there. Unless you know the guy and trust him....

But looking at those pics... I would offer around 280-300.. untill he is able to provide more pics.

Thanks guys. You raise a few red flags. Given the problems I had with the last rifle (AEG) I bought used, I'll steer clear of this one.

I'll probably end up buying something stock and upgrading it myself. I like to know what goes on inside my rifle, so the learning process is welcome.

Thanks, again, for your help.

No problem dude...

If you do want that rifle you can get it new for around $110.
A new barrel can be anywhere from $50-150.
Hop up bucking is around $20

That would be what you get to start off. Then we can talk you through some diy mods when you get the rifle. Or just take a look at zulus thread on the VSR topic.
