There is lots of discussion about how to ake a ghillie and when to use a certain type, but now I want to know what procedure you use and when in the game you put on the veggies.

I am usually one of the first out on the field, so I have a few minutes to set up my hide. During this time when there is no chance of being seen, I take off my ghillie and use dental floss to tie on plants.

I only recently finished making my ghillie, so I'm sure there are better methods out there. So tell me what you do.

Looks good but that guy didn't put any burlap on his ghillie at all, he's just relying on veggies. It might be sort of hard to fish out the elastic underneath all of that burlap.

I actually used a baseball cap as my boonie. Attached it to my jacket with extra netting hanging off the hat to act like a hood. Use what you have, right?

I could just use tan-ish rubber bands that are a different shade of tan than the rest of the tan on my ghillie. I might be able to pick them out more easily. I've got enough rubber bands that even if they break constantly, which they shouldn't, they would last me years.

Alright so for now until I get hairbands I'll go with rubber bands.
