Hey guys,

I think that this thread is probably is the wrong spot so please move it!
Anyway, I used to use gray .40g bbs and couldnt see them at all. I decided to go down to .30g in white and they are so much easier to see, but they are somewhat inconsistent. Is there any specific reason why companies don't make heavier bbs in white?

There are two main reasons. First, people prefer darker colored BBs for long range shooting, as they are much harder to trace back to the shooter's position (compared to white).

Next, yes, the color usually changes depending on the composition. For example, Madbull semi-recently switched over to a new formula for their .40s, and now they are black in color as opposed to orange/tan. I believe this is because of an iron composition they added. Hulmeman was correct.

I and a few others use these. I personally think they're easier to see than black bbs, especially in the winter when there is little to no foliage. They're not quite .4g but they're close enough

Here are some King Arms ones if you prefer, same weight & color, not sure if they get different results.
