Hi everyone,
Currently I have 3 inner barrels from Maple Leaf which are left from previous builds or bought but never used 🥲

1. ML crazy jet 6.04 550 mm
2. ML crazy jet 6.04 300 mm
3. ML 6.04 430 mm (simple barrel)

What's your opinion on the best barrel length to use in combination with Wolverine BOLT E for a vsr10?

Our fields limit is 3.2 Joules for snipers and I ran 0.45 g bbs in previous spring builds.

Personally I tried finding pros and cons between a longer vs. a shorter barrel when running a BOLT system but to be honest I didn't get any clear info about why I should choose one over the other.

I think everyone is trying to get the most out of their airsoft builds and I thought that maybe sharing your experiences will help me and other newbies out there.
I'm very curious about everyone's thoughts on this topic. Would be glad to see any technical explanation on this topic if that's the case. I think it will make the things more clear.

You'll still gain FPS from the 550 I bet, but I don't think it will be totally worth it for you.

I suggest the 430, but maybe give the 550 a try to see if it is any better, should be a quick little test if you don't touch the output pressure on your tank. For BBs, I'd rock some .48g or .50g, but .45g is still good.

Will definitely try it out. My theory is that I should get at least the same range with the 550 mm barrel compared to the smaller ones running at the same pressure.

Well the reason I'd do 430 or 550 is to be able to turn down your pressure while having the same power. This lets you get more shots per tank and may give you a quieter gun. 550 may be a bit long though, 430 is probably about right.
By long you mean making the sniper harder to handle (bigger outer barrel) or the fact that there is not enough air volume and pressure to get good results (range, accuracy)? I will run 0.16 Ci HPA tanks for this build

It'll feel pretty long, and may not provide much more power for that added length.
I recommend using a 430mm with a suppressor, as with a decent suppressor a BOLT is likely the quietest airsoft gun that exists, and not taking advantage of that is sort of missing the whole point of it.

Under volume isn't really a big deal, but with 300mm you're wasting a lot of air and your gun will be louder, while with a longer barrel you are able to use more of the air that gets wasted on shorter lengths.
If you own all those barrels, try them all out and see which you like best.
