I would either start on an AEG DMR project, or a gas boltie. You don't get much tinkering out of a spring powered bolt action...

There is actually alot of tinkering that can be done. But it is all easy work.

Check Ebay for some Vsr's. I saw a good one stock for like $200 flat. It got painted that's all.
