i see people saying that can hit a human size target at distances of 250-300 feet which is pretty dam hard, but i feel is reasonable with upgrades and what not, and then i see people saying that they can make a 400 foot head shot, which is absolutely ridiculous..so...

-what is your longest shot?

- gun

-list upgrades if any

-bb using

-any other info/mods you have done to the rifle to improve performance

Well my personal record is the "amazing" 100m. We took a accurate measurement and the guy was standing still (so It's was not in actual game). Without wind I could hit with 1/3 of shots. We were just zeroing the sights and the only clear target we could come up with was that we would take turns and stand in the range. Then we just wanted to see would a 100m shot be possible with a descent grouping.

Are you asking for consistently hitting the target or that lucky shot that just "happened?"

I can hit people at 250' consistently. And that is plenty for me.

Either rifle, G-spec or Vsr, with Custom Zero trigger, Orange piston, polished inner barrel for the VSR and a PDI 6.01 for the G-spec. Both have the same hop up chamber tweeks to them.

DoOoOodsteven, please use proper grammar and punctuation, and make more useful posts when you do. I believe you need to reread the Rules and Introdution Guidelines, this is your final warning. A 400' headshot is nothing to brag about no matter who you are, headshots are painful to other players, and frowned upon as far as I'm concerned.

The maximum effective range of a field legal Airsoft rifle is 100-110 yards, I have found the most effective BB to be a .36 gram Straight or Madbull. Anything over 100 yards is luck, and a combination with amazing shooting conditions.

I have never cared much about my longest shot, I will always always remember a shot I landed on a guy who didn't hear it at all, and was unsure of what hit him. He stopped for a while and then moved on. It sucks because you can see the impact on their clothing, like poking a sleeve or pant leg with your finger. They would be dead in real life, but unfortunately you need to make another decision to shoot or not.

Classic picture from a field here in Michigan, I was engaging people at the woodsline, and on top of the ridge beyond that. To the top of the ridge was I'd say 80 yards, through canopy brush.

Good old Bangor. As I recall the distance from ridgeline to ridgeline was pushing 150 some meters, however I was about half way down, as was my opposition. Managed to hit him with a modded Semi-Auto M41 Offizier that I threw a Madbull M120 into, along with a tightbore and hard type hop up. I'm guessing the range was probably about 90 meters, but that, as Livonia stated, was because of amazing conditions and I was pretty much shooting semi auto artillery on the guy (Dead-Prez for those who recall).

My favorite long distance shot I've ever seen, was performed by my very own team captain Mirage, in which he was at the Midwest Sniper Cup 2008 and I was standing maybe two feet from a target in which he claimed he hit, I didn't see a mark and told him to reshoot, in which he managed to hit the PAPER target directly in the head, and that was at a distance of about 105 yards (Top of the left ridge at bangor to the viewing platform in the center). I literally watched the BB travel the entire distance almost in slow motion and it still managed to have enough power to pierce the reletively thick shooters paper. He was using a Maruzen L96 w/ PDI hop up and tightbore, along with a PDI 300% spring I believe.

A: Represents aprox. location of Mirage and Blindshot (Guy to the left of Livonia)

B: Target, the field wasn't as built up as it was for the Midwest Sniper Cup, so that was about where it is at, maybe further off screen, but it gives you an idea.

Nice looking field Livonia.

You really do need to make it down to Breedland next year. Going to be a great game this year.
Gosh I know...when I turn 16...

Anyway, my VSR isnt really tuned to range, more silence. I have a homemade suppressor (my own special design) and a foamed/sorboed piston head. Quiet past 40-50 feet!

Anyway, the longest shot with that...probably 175 feet.

My longest shot(s) were about 100+ Yards out using a KWA SR-12 using a System 165 spring using .36s I believe. Using a Promy 6.03 509mm TB. Using the stock hop up which was pretty amazing. G&P M160 motor. I hit at least 3 confirmed shooting semi only that day. One of the guys came up to me and actually said that he felt a little bit of a sting even at that distance which surpised me but thats my longest shot

At Noob Day 2010, I was getting 350+ shots from an elevated position with bursts. Of course I was spotting for Sniperwoosh, with my Asahi M60. Woosh was one-shoting people at the same distance with his custom Kokusai Crimebuster. It was pretty impressive but having a height advantage is really fortunate.

I'm not sure if you guys will be able to picture this in your mind but here are a couple aerials from BK's website. http://www.badkarmaairsoft.net/2009aerials/wholefield.jpg The yellow building near center of the picture is actually three stories. http://www.badkarmaairsoft.net/2009aerials/switzerland.jpg I was with Woosh on the roof shooting 20-30' into the wood line diagonally past the "Minnow/Radar Dish" tower. http://www.badkarmaairsoft.net/2009aerials/topside.jpg If you need a reference of size, those blue things are 55gal plastic barrels.
