Following on from the last couple of posts. I tried to order the silicone tube from McMaster-Carr this week from the UK. They now have the following official policy:

"Due to the cost of complying with extensive US export regulations, McMaster-Carr accepts international purchases only from our established international customers."

Also, following an enquiry as to how one might become, or who is, an "established international customer" :-

"McMaster-Carr has decided to limit its international business, and we do not have any agents outside of the United States. We apologize for the inconvenience."

Would it be possible to update the original post to point out that McMaster-Carr will only ship inside the USA please? It would save those of us in the rest of the world wasting time trying to buy the material. There isn't anything on their website to stop you ordering the product and a transaction apparently completes. You then get a cancellation email from McMaster-Carr. The other info above is from subsequent follow up emails with them.

Even if not from McMaster-Carr, has anyone been able to get a similar material outside U.S?

Edit: I already asked something similar in another post. I asked here as well so the info is in this sticky also, where it could be more useful for other people.

It's been quite a while since I've been active on here, other than the occasional post.

I made this thread with the intent of it being a question stopper so ASF doesn't get an endless supply of the same questions being asked repeatedly. I may not be actively contributing anymore, but I'd at least like to maintain what I have already contributed. Obviously, technology advances, so something has to have happened since I last updated the first post over two years ago.

If anyone wants me to add any links to threads or information about the r-hop, or any other letter-hop for that matter, let me know and I'll see if it's worth adding.

The last thing I said in the first post still stands:
Now after searching through the forum for a while, I didn't exactly look at the threads too closely, so if I missed some threads or if I should remove some, just let me know. If you guys think I should change around the title/subject for a thread, just let me know. Even if it's something as nitpicky as the ordering, if you guys tell me I will not get offended, it's all to make this thread better.
I'm not sure what made me think of this after so long, just my random thought processes bringing me yet another thing to work on, lol.

How do you guys make perpendicular cuts (for the length of the patch, not depth)? I find it rather difficult to trim the length shorter in small increments to get the patches to fit the window properly. I'm, getting some weird BB flight and I'm not sure if it's because of the slightly imperfect cut on one end of the patch or not. It may also be that I was too aggressive with the radiusing of the patch ends but if I can perfect the cuts, then I can rule them out.

So there's nothing anyone would like me to add to the database? I'll monitor this for the next day or so, then it'll be another several months until I log in again. I see an r-hop question right on the front page of General Sniper Talk, so give me either information to include in the OP or just a link to a thread with the info.

As a side note, since this is a sticky you can't really necro-post as far as I'm concerned. If you have more r-hop questions, it's totally okay to post it here rather than make a new thread. Questions asked here stay at the top, new threads get lost pretty quickly. I did make this thread to try to net as much info about r-hops as possible.

Ok straight to the point; What the fuck is wrong with people? Why arent people no longer glueing their Rhop patch?

IF YOU DONT GLUE YOUR PATCH, when you press your patch with bucking and chamber around it it will go inside the barrel, when inside the barrel the back corner of the R hop patch sticks out and then your BBs can get stuck to it giving random overhops which is one of the reason why the INVENTOR OF R HOP says you have to glue the R hop patch from every corner. There is also no fucking way that a patch that just sits on the barrel gives as consistent hop up like a glued patch would.

I have been talking about this on the ASF facebook pages twice and there have been 2 retards claiming how stupid i am for glueing the patch with R hop, great fucking advice.

Even if the front part of the rhop sticks out it wont cause jams, normal hop rubbers which have straight down nub wont cause jams even though they have straight edge on the barrel too.
