So, just an open thread to talk about distraction devices. I've been thinking of what I can use in the field that is small, practical, simple and cost effective.
Ideally, I would love to create some sort of remote device that could have fuses/detonators etc that are cheap enough to use once... but every solution I can think off along those lines would have to be expensive and that makes it non disposable.
I know that making devices that use long, delayed fuses would be far easier, but that type of application has severe limitations in that case, as timing and adaptation are key in warfare.
For example, I would love to make a remote controlled firecracker detonator, or something to trigger a good sized smoke bomb, for example. These would be great to deploy if the enemy is close to your hide, for example, or to lure them into an advantageous position for you or your team, or to cause confusion/hesitation.
