I honestly didn't know the existed outside the DIY world, it was just a suggestion. If you can figure out how to make a small pressurized air popper then by all means go ahead.

So your suggestion to use an air powered popper was just out of thin air, and comes with no experience or knowledge?

Ok so I understand now!

SO to make Masterjuggler happy. Replace the mouse trap with a Thunder-b Grenade! (See I do know and have experience. I have 3 of them!)

@Grudge- I am not looking to start an argument, which it seems you are trying to do. I was simply stating that most fields don't allow pyrotechnics such as the cap gun caps and if you want something to sound like that you would need to have an air powered device.

@Fin- I will try to do that with my setup. Worse comes to worst I lose an already broken gearbox that I probably should have thrown away long ago anyway.

Again this is in your experience. I play on 7 different fields and they all allow caps even the ones that don't allow pyro!

Your field and the ones you play at are not the only ones.

I was offereing up a suggestion that can be used by those that can use it. And since others posted ideas that involved "pyro" and you didn't say anything to them!

I'm not looking to start an arguement. I just don't like being corrected by someone talking out their arse!

The poppers i was talking about arnt air powered. They shoot out a small amount of sparks, as another user said theyare just like cap gun rings but set up differnt. The original poppers shot confetti but you can take the confetti out and just use the charge attached to the string.

I'm not going to argue this. This is a stupid argument and I'm sure you realize this too. i don't know what fields you play at, and I never said anything about the ones you go to, but explosives fall under the definition of pyrotechnics, which is not allowed at most fields.

Just for future reference, if you aren't looking to start an argument, please don't tell someone they are talking out of their ass. I did at first direct my statement toward you, and I apologize because I was wrong, there are other posts about pyrotechnic ways to make distractions, and at first I didn't say anything.

Yeah most effective traps like the ones mentioned are some sort of pyro (like the poppers I was talking about). But that gearbox idea sounds pretty good. Otherwise a can with rocks inside with strings attached to it like a tripwire so it jingles.
