Small recorder, start recording, wait for awhile, take shots with small intervals, repeat.
In game, make it play, throw/place it, nice decoy sounds after a while.

 

I sometimes use mess tins and shoot at them. They make a ping sound and people go over to check it out. Then I just shoot them instead.

And be careful what you use. I mean, don't go using an iPod, it could easily get stolen even if you're watching it from a distance.

 

I placed a peace of gear on the ground, and when a nice chap tried to pick it up I shot him.
He was annoyed as hell and said he was going to ask later in the safezone who it belonged to.
I don´t do that anymore.

 

Get a waterproof recorder, record sounds and tape the recorder to a "killzone" area tree.

I once threw a rock into an area behind an enemy (I was in front) and it made them turn around.

 

I did use decoys when I first started sniping. I used a cheap shotgun with a bright orange tip. It was good because the enemy just lit the decoy up. The sound of their AEGs masked my shots.

 

That just reminded me, in a CQB game I would take off my helmet/hat and stick it out from the cover with a stick or my side arm, I would then fire from the other side of the barrier, I caught some players out with that one haha!

 

Inthetallgrass, I believe I've seen similar maneuvers in Enemy At The Gates and Sniper: Reloaded!

 

Funny thing is, I haven't seen those movies, must watch. I only use them when they are close, and usually with an AEG.

 

Yeah, helmets are great, even in woodland, putting a helmet next to a bush or something can make a decoy very easily.
If you are using ghillie and a wrap on your rifle, you can get some sticks and leaves, then make a ball from sticks and leaves, and put a long stick (some leaves around it) "aiming" where enemy would come, put it in an obvious sniper position so they'll see it. They might try to flank it, giving you an opportunity to shoot them when they try to be sneaky, moving slowly and stuff.

 

Haven't seen Enemy At The Gates!? Pffff!

 

I find Thunder Bs a better distraction and decoy makes everyone look that way and get confused then you rush in with your squad and eat them up. Helmet on a stick got to try that one. Now where to find a stick in the desert CRAP

 

Decoy idea

I have a small motion sensor that makes the lodest and most annoying beeping sound when activated. I just set it up somewhere that they use to sneak by or I set it up t the side of me and throw a rock at it to activate it. Only used it once, but it worked well.

 

Well I`m going to turn this into how to find enemies. Advanced spotter and sniper team. Why don`t you deploy a RC plane with a camera on it and have a fpv setup so you get live feed. And have a little trap door at the bottom of the plane to drop bbs. Wouldn`t that make the most amazing spotter and sniper team.

 

They wouldn't call their hits. I'd use napalm with the plane and burn the forest around them, then shoot them.

 

Just. We`ll can always rig thunder bs to the plane. I can see a small white plane taking out the entire team. Wait better we`ll rig a pistol to it yup XD

 

You could make a fake sniper dummy haha. Kinda like a duck decoy.

 

Yeah, take a picture of a proning sniper, print it and glue it to a piece of a cardboard. Could actually work.

 

Maybe an old authentic guille suit? Just put it next to a tree and have something metal concealed within.

People will think the guillie is a person and will shoot and you will hear the "ping" sound when they hit the metal item.

 

How would you carry another ghillie and metal? Instead of ghillie, an old bdu or something that a lot of people use at your field. Then put sticks inside it.

 

Sorry, I didn't mean a whole ghillie suit, just a hood.

 

Your forgetting that chillies suits don't exactly stand out ;p

 

It would be better to get an old hoodie, something noobish that screams beginner. Stuff it and place it somewhere obvious. Maybe even hang a broken gun with an orange tip to a branch to emulate movement.

 

This is for US users. Maybe a huge neon orange tip make it like snow wolf barret size. Attach to a bush attach a little sail on the back of it so the wind can move it around and if you want metal bush behind. You`ll be surprised how much a neon orange tip can give you away. When in doubt go to ToysRus and pick up a Justin beiber life size poster. This will definite attract attention

 

Try using fishing line and attaching it to bushes and just pull on it to make it look like someone is trying to crawl through the bushes.

used that idea when i was out of ammo (we had restricted ammo for snipers at that game) it was a thin green chord of some sort i actually found on the field where i was hiding, crawled to an "obvious" passing and tied the string to some bushes, draged the string under a log on the ground so even if i pulled it the whole string wouldn't lift off the ground, crawled back about 70ft or so, pulled my glock and waited for about 20 mins before i nearly took out a whole group of 7 with my handgun lol

so i can really recomend the fishingline-trick! make sure you pick it up after the game. not good for wildlife
