In Argentina, it's pretty standardised country-wise to:

- CQB (pistols, sub machine guns, shotguns): 330FPS, 0m MED on semi, 5m MED for full auto.
- Assault (M4, AK, and such) : 400FPS, 10m MED
- Support (RPK, M249 and such): 430 FPS, 10m MED.
- DMR / semi auto sniper: 500 FPS, 20m MED
- Bolt Action Snipers: 600FPS, 30m MED

Everything is measures with .20s, with hop up at minimum.

East Coast USA

All measured using .25g (some with hop up off, some don't care)
*Some Milsim companies are switching to Joule measurements with increasing use of gas systems

Pistols - 350fps no min engagement
AEG/Pistol - 400fps 10ft min engagement (many fields switching to semi only now)
Support Weapons - between 400-450fps depending on event
DMR - 450-500fps limited to semi auto only, 50-80ft minimum engagement
SWS - 500-550fps ,100ft minimum engagement

Honestly, the semi auto only for AEGs unless you are a legit (replica of actual support weapon) support weapon has been one of the best new rules on my local fields. A LOT less problems and actual use of tactics.

Japan:

If you are 18 years or older, and your gun produces

> .989J (325 fps on .20 or 266 fps on .30) then:

Go to jail

If you are between 10 and 17 years of age, and your gun produces

> .135J (120 fps on .20), then:

Go to juvenile detention

If you are younger than 10, then

Play Nerf (airsoft guns verboten)

Greetings from Bulgaria :)

Here the overal accepted limits are as follows (all guns are measured with 0.20g BBs with Hop-Up off):

CQB:
100 m/s (~330 fps) limit for all guns; if the distance is less than 10 meters shooting in the head is prohibited if other body parts can be targeted; shooting in the torso is highly recommended; nothing mentioned about full auto - I guess it is up to the organizer to deside or a specific fields may apply their own limits regarding full auto.

Outdoor:

1: 0 up to 100 m/s (0 to ~330 fps) - 1 Meter - Single Only
2: 101 up to 130 m/s (~330 to ~430 fps) - 10 Meters - Single and Auto
3: 0 up to 140 m/s (0 to ~460 fps) - 15 Meters - Auto (Support weapons)*
4: 131 up to 140 m/s (~430 to ~460 fps) - 15 Meters - Single / Semi
5: 141 up to 160 m/s (~460 to ~530 fps) - 25 Meters -Single / Semi (DMRs)**
6: 161 up to 200 m/s (~530 to ~650 fps) - 40 Meters -Single, Bolt Action Snipers

*Support Weapons with magazines of over 1000 BBs
**DMR - 141-160 m/s, outer barel length measured from the hop-up of minimum 40 cm, optics use is mandatory

Happy Holidays:cheers:

Greetings from Republic of Korea

Our Law & Regulation is very SICK.
Rule is very SIMPLE at all. (A law that does not fit reality.)

Below 0.2 Joule
Below 0.2 Gram

190fps (@ 0.2g)

Our situation is In short,

1. Crazy (*Ridiculous) LAW
2. Many mass media describe airsoft as almost dangerous as a Real Rifle.

This makes, Many people look us with prejudice. (biased)
But almost all player can't follow the rule.

Paradox.

KNIFE is more dangerous but very legal.
Slingshot is more dangerous but very legal.
Only Airsoft is very Illegal in Republic of KOREA
(Scope , Laser sight , Dot sight is Illegal, of course.)

RIP

UK was already mentioned.

Hungary - not the law but used on most games:
AEG/Pistols: 400fps (with .20g)
Semi only DMR: 500fps 20m MED
Bolt action: 600fps 20m MED

CQB: semi only 400fps max, short burst below 350fps

only 20 MED for a 600FPS gun? that's dangerous.
rather 450-500 fps on a machinegun is dangerous. infact stupid to put a high power, lot shooting device into an any average players hand. MEDs here or there.

which would you choose to get shot from 20m?
one shoot from a 600fps gun or 20-30 rounds from a 500fps gun?

I'd prefer 50 rounds at 20m from a 450fps machine gun before 1 shot at 20m from a 600FPS sniper rifle any day.

At 20m there's no way the sniper bb will decelerate enough to provide a safe impact. It will be pretty much like getting hit by your machine gun at point blank. Really, really dangerous, can easily break through the skin.

MEDs are there to provide safe impact energy, a gazillion impacts at safe energy are way less dangerous than just 1 hot impact.

In hungary the most played "rulebook" called MASZ (Magyar Airsoft Szabályzat), means Hungrian Airsoft Regultion.

Here are the gun categories:

General handguns:
-400FPS (0,2g), 1,5J
-600bb/mag max
-motor driven mag prohibited (box-, c-mag, ect)
-from 16 year old
-between 16-18 parental permission is must

Machineguns:
-400FPS (0,2g), 1,5J
-bipod or replicate a real MG is a must
-no mag restrictions
-18+ only

DMRs (semi automatic guns):
-400-500FPS (0,2g); 1,5-2,2J
-18+
-max 80bb/mag
-MED 20m
-prohibited to use in building
-accepted to use out of building with the 20m MED
mandatory:
-scope
-atleast 95cm leght
-only single shoot
-secondary weapon (under 400FPS)

Sniper, bolt action:
-600FPS; 3,3J
-single action, hand operated
-18+
-max 80bb/mag
-MED 20m
-prohibited to use in building
-accepted to use out of building with the 20m MEDmandatory:
-scope
-atleast 95cm leght
-only single shoot
-secondary weapon (under 400FPS)

According to the crono appendix, cronomaster can consider 1-3% deviation in the FPS readings. However most organizers stricts the rule to round number (eg 400FPS - ok, 401FPS - not ok).

Philippines (varies)

CQB-380, limited to .25 b

Outdoor field
Aeg 450
Dmr 500
Basr 550
Hpa 90 psi

Some fields have no MED.

Some fields chrono with .2s, some with your used bb. But they don't have their own bbs for testing so they take your word for it

We also have open fps fields but prohibits using metal bbs.

Edit:
Outdoor sites don't chrono pistols as well. My 2.9J stti mk23 is usually ignored.
