I would go to the general section and look at all the stickied posts, that should get you off to a good start. I also would take out a notebook and write down some of the suggested mods to do to your gun, this will just kinda help you keep everything straight and focused on your goal. Bu mostly just read the stickied things in the diffrent sections and look around at what people are doing. that's how I got started!
