But it's exponentially cheaper....
Althought it takes quite a bit of silicone and time to finally get it right. I'd say you become efficient at creating them about 1/3 into your first tube of silicone caulk...

Hidey ho, neighbors.
I was just curious;
Would an Rhop be most effective if you made it a non-adjustable system?
I figured I would just forgo an M-nub and sand the patch until I have it tuned to .36's or whatever I choose.
Or would it be best to have a bit of pressure from the Mnub?
I was thinking the pressure of a bucking would be enough. Or maybe a bit of something on top of the patch (so a piece of plastic/something would be between the patch and bucking) to maintain pressure over the entire patch?

I had the same issue with my WE pistol. I used a poor man's method. By no means is it precise; machining is WAY better than this.

I simply filed it to a square profile. The edge perpendicular to the file side was smooth.

I placed the smooth end on top of the window edges and filed away the beveled part of the window. I could reciprocate the file without it deforming the barrel too badly since the smooth side wouldn't cut.

It's fairly square now. Although it would be smarter to get an expensive barrel like that machined. Without a doubt. :tup:
