Well MB03 w/Angel Custom Zero Trigger Not Catching

So I recently bought a Matrix VSR-10 (Well MB03) and I bought full Angel Custom internals (with the exception of a metal spring guide I found on AirsoftGI because Evike was out). Everything works well except the trigger isn't catching on the piston. It did catch a few times when it was miss feeding (screwed up the hop-up unit and bucking first try). I fixed the feeding issue and now it just isn't catching anymore. I checked the trigger box and the sears are still intact, everything is brand new and nothing is broken. Maybe I'm missing something obvious (my first serious upgrade job) so any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried the stock cylinder, piston, spring etc with the same trigger box and it didn't work either so it's not any of the stuff in the cylinder. Also don't know how the one piece hop-up works, put the stock one back in so if anybody knows how it's supposed to work that would be awesome as well.

Thanks!

Have you tried the stock trigger unit and stock piston again to see if it works after you tried the angel customs parts? Try that, then change the piston. see if that works, then use original piston with the AC trigger unit. That would help narrow it down some also. It sounds like something is just a hair or so short. Could be the sear, could be the sear catch on the piston.

That really sucks man.

Well I have tried using stock parts in combination with the Angel Custom stuff and it looks like it's a problem with the trigger box (however I couldn't test the stock trigger box with the new piston because the pull is too much for the stock trigger) but the new trigger box didn't work with the stock cylinder, piston, spring and spring guide so I think that is the issue. What I think it might be is the stock trigger box was rounded to fit the body of the gun well. The new trigger box is flat so maybe that would make the sear too short? Maybe if I tried filing down the body a little to make it better fit the new trigger box? I just don't know why it would catch the first couple times I tried it but not now. Also the cylinder and bolt and everything it about 2 centimeters further back then it's supposed to be so the bolt wont go into its place on the stock. I heard that the new Angel Custom cylinder head was a little longer but I didn't know if it would cause this kind of an issue.

Thats EXACTLY what I was thinking actually, sound like the sear isnt going in enough, and it caught a few times, and that could have just been the very tip of the sear, and it could have just rubbed it enough to wear its edge off from that.

You could take a dremel to the underside of the reciever and make it to shape, or the trigger unit.

When you get your pics, snap one of the two cylinders side by side, then the heads. can the stock head fit the new cylinder?

It really pisses me off that these clones arent to TM specs, cause I sold my buddy an aluminum endcap for a Bar10/Vsr10 and it wouldnt fit his Mbo3 lol.. close, but not close enough. I currently have an Mbo2b, and will be working on it soon. You and my buddy are having fitment issues, and kinda making me worry lmao..

haha OK that sounds good, I'll give it a go. I did a little last night but to no avail. I guess I'll try to do a little more.

lol yea it urks me as well. I figured I'd just get the cheapest gun and they would all be TM spec but I guess I was wrong. I guess from now on we should just spend the extra money and get an actual TM lol, not taking any chances from now on. What brand if your Mbo2b? Well?
