Thank you guys :)

I'm pretty happy myself! Started to zero in the sight but ran out of battery, but of what I saw it's really accurate. 10/10 at a CD at 20m (~60ft) outdoors with a light breeze. Gonna put it to harder tests when I can get my hands on new LR44 batteries.

Looks great but I think it would look better without the laser and torch. An Acog with 3 or 4 magnification would also really suit the rifle and it would make it less bulky.

Soo.. what did you like about the gun 1tonne? :p

I chose an aimpoint because it's way cooler, Swedish design. Acogs are too mainstrem and looks silly to me, much like eotech! With the flip-to-side I get the option of using no zoom/3x magnifiation. I'm going for the "slightly-over-kitted-CQB-assault-rifle"-look so the laser and flashlight is mostly for show, but do prove usefull at indoors games. A good flashlight is the best (and only) defense you have at indoors games. The laser is pratty much useless, sure I can hip-fire with help of the laser, but.. yeah.

Your gun looks cool and I would consider it if it was very mainstream like the VSR10 (so if parts were really, really plentiful).
Colouring, stock, pistol grip all look the part.
I suggested the Acog 4 x magnification because in my opinion would look better, be lighter and function better than the Aimpoint with magnifier. Also, if you get an Acog x 4 magnification with the cross hair and not the red dot, then you will find it to be one of the clearest sights you have ever used.
But it is each to there own and really it does not matter if I like the scopes or not. As long as you love your gun. Some people hate the look of my main m4 (it has a civilian AR15 stock. So very rear) but to me it is the best looking gun on the field. Each to their own:shot:

With all due respect, there are plenty of parts available for the mb06, the entire barrel group is 100% type 96 compatible, the cylinder internals are fully compatible, the only thing that's different is the cylinder itself and the trigger box.

But they do make a steel 90 degree trigger and they make steel cylinders in various types, so I'd say there are plenty of parts available ;)

Plus it's a lightweight rifle and you get a left-handed conversion kit with the rifle.

Its stock is weak, I wouldn't use it without reinforcement, but it's not a bad deal ;)

Oh, and the mags are different from standard type 96 mags, but you get three with the rifle, which ought to be enough hehe.

Good post 1tonne!

I was actually looking at getting a CQB long eye relief 1-4x28 scope on this gun, but decided to go with a reddot instead. I'm not 100% satisfied with the magnefier, thought the picture would be clearer but it works, at least for now ;)

Regarding upgrades: Yes there are plenty of parts for the gun, main problem is the plastic body/lower receiver has a tendency to break upon "dropping/bumping" the gun and there are no spare parts or upgrade parts for the body at all. I'm looking at getting it reinforced of possibly completely made out of metal, but that's nothing I can do myself so it's gonna cost me :S

The mags are sure different, it's a unique mag for this gun. You can find extras pretty easily though, as least in sweden. I have 4 mags to this rifle, 3 original and 1 Cybergun made, much better material and feels sturdier the the Well orig. fits quite snuggly in the magwell, sometimes I fail to get it to lock in place, just needs to be worn down a bit I think.

I've made my own stock for this rifle and reinforced it with epoxy. I have yet to field it but it looks fairly promising and it's still light :)

May give it a fibreglass coat later as extra reinforcement though, because it's not as sturdy as I'd like it to be yet :hehe:

If you don't want to do something like that (heck, your current one looks great already), I'd reinforce it. Especially the part where the buffer tube meets the receiver, it's a thin piece of plastic. Once that's reinforced I think it'll last a fair amount of time ;)

"Pics, or it didn't happen!" :O

As you wish...

It's not finished yet, still needs to be painted properly and I still want a stock pouch on it. Also, that's the scope off my L96, I don't have a scope for this one yet...

There's an airsoftpro hop chamber in it with a 455mm 6.01mm madbull ultimate barrel in it. It's got a guarder black bucking that's flat hopped with a DIY eraser nub. Then there's some barrel spacers and the usual mods (teflon tape on all the necessary things) and that's about it. Oh, and a TDC mod. 440 fps, fairly accurate at 70 meters :yup:

Fairly comfortable to hold, feels a little tiny, but light and comfortable. Once it's painted I'm sure it'll do well :)

Looks good dude :)
It sure is different, and I like it!

I have a flat hop aswell, works great so far, haven't really put it to the test yet.
Have you done the cylinderhead-mod I did? or have you exchanged the cylinderhead for aftermarket parts? It did a great difference in fps consistancy.

I do highly recommend it! I was really fun to do since the result turned out so great. I wish I had more heads to "lathe" :p
Easy, fun and made a good difference! There is a reason "upgrade"-heads have this shape.

I just broke my fakking reddot....

What to do now then?
Buy a new Aimpoint?
Go back on my word and buy a scope instead?
1-4x28 or 2-6x32?

I'm not completly satisfied with my magnifier for the red dot, it wobbels a bit, even after some tape. And the eye-relief is about 10mm so I have to put my glasses up against the lens to see through it. It looks cool and fits my theme well but aint that practical.

As scopes go I prefer a 4x non zoom scope. It has much better picture.

I have an eotech (copy) flip to side magnifier. You can remove the internal part that limits it to a square image and it has really clear picture and a good eye relief.
Not that I use it.

Magnified acog scopes are the same too. Great picture.

At 40 meters I would only use a reflex scope. No magnification and quick target acquisition.
