OK guys this is what I am thinking of......

I have been looking around at the rifles that are under $100. And there are some that look like they may have some potential. So what about keeping this thread, kind of like an Uber thread, of things that can be done to the cheap rifles out there.

Have nothing but DIY stuffies to help out the newer guys that want to get into the sport, and those that bought that "crappy" first rifle due to cost.

I figure if would be fun to see what we all can come up with. I have been looking personally at the Well MB06. It is a clone of the Maruzen SR-2 rifle. Looks really BA in my opinion.

I know there is also the ever popular UTG 324. I personally have that one still to this day, and yes it was my first rifle for airsoft. And I love the thing..... even though you can pull the back of the bolt clean off....

So what do you think guys... You up to the task?

A few "rules" to consider.....
1.. Post what gun you are going to "mod"
2.. Only things that can be done in your home are allowed
3.. Parts can come from any rifle, just don't go nuts

4.. Make sure to post what you did and how you did it, pics a plus (if ok with the mods)
5.. Nothing to custom... no metal lathes, mills, or special tools
6.. Gotta look cool.... this one is kind of a given

Mods if you think this is a dumb idea or pointless lemme know or just delete it.

I found some outer barrel extensions and am thinking that I am just going to use that with a suppressor to cover the inner barrel, plus itll give it a nice SD look

How did you stabilize the longer barrel in the fore-grip? I was thinking about getting a solid fore-grip and filling it with foam, but i love the look of the RIS grips

I rear wired my battery so I have a pouch on my stock but Im thinking about getting a LiPo and encasing the stock so it can still fold.

Find something that is the same size as your outter barrel... And make a mold with an old barrel inside. You will have some really nice tight spacers.

Get some sillicon mold stuff and use that.

Woogie, I'm a little confused what youre getting at here... are you talking about a spacer between the inner and outer barrel?

What I'm doing is converting a G36c to a G36k... pretty much the same front end that vindi used. the problem is that if i just put a K front grip on then it still only has the C outer barrel support on there and about 9" of extra barrel hanging off of it. So im trying to think of a way to support between the outer barrel and the grip...

You need to use M5 bolts cut to length, so that they hold the inner tight and the bolt head sits tight against either the forestock or in my case the RIS rail.

Do this both sides and it holds the barrel firmly, and the forestock steady enough to fit a bi-pod.

You can just make out the C shaped marks where the bolts press against the barrel outer.

Also notice tha massive chunck taken out to enable a large stick 9.6v battery to fit when its got one of those massive C length forestocks on.

Barrel spacers made from plastic card bent into U shapes and then fed over the barrel, the sides were left long so the glue had something to grab hold of, but not to long to interfer with battery fit.
