I did a Double Bell VSR review at one point, and short answer is likely no.
The receiver seemed smaller in diameter, barrel was much smaller, mags were shorter in height (maybe?), and everything just seemed loosely inspired by the VSR-10. I bought one many years before that and it was great, hence why I bought another, but over that period of time it seems as if they changed designs or manufacturers.
The easiest way to tell is if the gun has a bull barrel - a straight profiled barrel, versus a tapered profile barrel. The tapered profile is more likely to be a VSR over a smaller diameter bull barrel.
Sadly there's not much in the way of wood stocks out there, but depending on how interested you are I'd push you towards my friend blind_sniper on Instagram. Last I checked he gets large shipments of Taring Carving stocks from some foreign jungle.
