The ssr15 is out.
What do you think. Personally I think that the Cyma Platinum is a better choice for the money you spend.
I am also concerned that they have used a gate titan. From what I have heard they are fiddly and need a precise installation, something that factories do not always manage. Furthermore, people who buy this aeg will not always be able to open up a gearbox if dirt gets into it and with the Titan's optical sensors this is a problem. Personally I believe that for ease of replacement a Gate Warfet would have been better.

VFC base.
Sprung gears and terrible motor AOE with the bevel gear to begin with. Ambi selector that's prone to failure.

Whoever has a minimum of knowledge and still buys it is a plain retard.

And yes, a Cyma platinum would be a much better purchase.

I have zero interest in the gun itself, but in the accessories like mags and sighting systems.
I don't like polymer or weak and fiddly shit so I'm definitely not getting it.
I still bet it's a splendid gun with a little work, same with the SSX23 or the SSG10.
Bad choice for the MOSFET, should have had the GATE WARFET instead.

At 550 you're getting close enough to Wolverine MTW territory that I wouldn't bother, personally. Especially after you drop another 2-300 on all of his knock off accessories. Not that they're bad knock offs, it's just what people will do.

a €550 gun doesn't need "a little work".
Come on, if I'm going to spend so much on a toy, I fully expect it to be flawless and run for 10 years before even thinking about doing something to it.

I bet the Titan is the basic one with fuck all settings, and while a Warfet would've been the more sensible solution, people (uneducated plebs, mostly) have this weird hard-on for the Titan because it apparently turns your turd into a ferrari (which it doesn't, for the record).

The price tag falls in the MTW territory, or even a full HPA kit to drop in a donor gun kind of price.

Plus this thing is aimed at kids and new players, I wonder what kind of shitstorm will happen once people start asking for refunds due to the immediate technical failures you can expect from VFC guns..

I'm pretty sure it is the basic one.

Whether the gun is great or could “use work” I absolutely despise aegs. I hate big ass batteries that can die at a walk on day. I hate that they sound like an rc car. I hate that they have gears that are prone to stripping. No thanks. I support any of my friends who use them. I would never own one personally.

I understand that. That was me until not too long ago. I tried an aeg once and used an mp7 aep for a while. That put me off aegs for a long time. I'm only starting to look into one now.

Pistol = fun
AEG = fun
BASR = fun

They all have their places and can be just as much fun as the other.

Yeah! I'm with 1 tonne on this...right gun for the right mood...and you don't always feel like being a sniper...oh? Did I just say that? hahahaha.

But seriously, Nov, blah, blah, mediocre, blah, blah...bilking good people out of their money, blah, blah...hehehehe. Same old story.

Personally, I really dig a good AEG...a GOOD one. Unfortunately, out of the box very few of them are. Now, if you aren't too picky, take the AK stance on things...simple and bulletproof. Get a Combat Machine with a 9.6V nimh and rock your socks off all day until the contacts burn out (about a zillion shots later). Then beat it up some more...use it as a bludgeoning stick...have fun with it.

AEG's stop being fun when you have to tweak on the field. You're quite right BlackDog, dust gets in there and *poof* game over. Tiny little optical sensors and microswitches are fodder for a gearbox. It's a pretty hostile environment in there! That's why when I rig up my mosfets I still use the stock trigger contacts to trigger them. No, nothing fancy like a burst of Skittles or anything, but reliable as it can get....and it sure handles the voltage.

So, yes I still love my boltie, but when I get a chance I steal my kid's Swedish Meatball (G&G GK5C that I used to own) and let er rip. It's solid, heavy, and absolutely deadly for an AEG...oh, and dead reliable...for WAY less than the SSR15. :)

Microswitches are ok in my opinion but I don't like optical sensors.
The gk5c is a really good gun. It has a tightbore, high torque motor and short trigger pull. It also looks very nice.
Also, I absolutely love my Cyma Plat. Only complaint is the 'archaic' hopup unit (how dare cyma use a gear instead of rotary).

Same here. I use the stock trigger contact but I also make a hair trigger system (2mm trigger pull). Works a treat and lasts if done right. Also, cheap as chips.

And if that fries you can replace it for ÂŁ10 with a ZCI one. That uses silver wiring so it is even better.

Yup, wired mosfets like GATE ones are the best.
It fucks itself into oblivion? Just throw a €20 NanoASR in and you're good to go.
Plus you can swap them between guns (my ak and my new m4 are wired for GATE stuff).

I'm moving away from internal mosfets, if something goes wrong I don't want to tear everything apart.

I'm going to leave the one in my Cyma as is. Hopefully it doesn't die. If it does, I'm definitely going for standard trigger contacts and a gate warfet.
