I have recently been looking into getting an airsoft sniper. I have heard many good and bad things about Novritsch which is making me pretty confused.

When it comes to the sniper I have been looking into the CM.701B upgraded or the SSG10. From what I have seen the SSG10 seems like a decent sniper rifle but I am wondering if it would be a better decision to buy the Cyma platform VSR10 to then upgrade or just go with the SSG10. Would it be cheaper to upgrade the Cyma platform sniper or get the SSG10?

[Edit]
Also, what parts would you recommend I upgrade first?

Thanks in advance!

I recently upgraded an SSG10 to have a Wolverine BOLT. It was a small challenge, as I could not get ahold of a regular VSR trigger box. So I did things to his trigger unit to make it work. Very much voided the warranty.

Overall I would say get the SSG. Its way nicer and you don't need upgrades.

Buy, go play and cheaper = ssg10
Long term project and satisfaction of making it 100% your own = cyma 701

Nothing wrong with both options depending on what you want to get out of it. But the ssg10 is field able and overall costs less.

Just get a Steyr Scout with H-nub. I went down the upgraded VSR route, and the Scout easily has the best build tolerances I’ve seen on any sniper out of the box, and performs flawlessly with H-nub (will easily hop 0.5G BBs). After a good clean, it’s now more consistent than my upgraded and tricked out VSR
