I'd like to say great work. the data on these bb's is really eyeopening, and i'm probably going to be making some different purchases once i've used up most of the the bb's i have stocked up.

I noticed though, the Recommendations tab looks outdated. Most if not all the brands listed are not in the charts. Hopefully you get a little time to update it.

Thank you!

The Recommendations tab is just a little note sheet where I've listed any BB which has not been evaluated, but was recommended to me for evaluation- so, yes the recommendations and actual tested BBs should indeed be mutually exclusive.

Just thought that you guys might like to know about the FX Airguns chronograph.
It uses radar instead of light, meaning it has a function that tells you the velocity at different ranges!
From what I hear, it is really good and it is only like $150.
I would get one but my father already got me a Caldwell chronograph which is perfect for what I normally do.

Huh think I may upgrade. Thanks for the info.

what is your fps using a .2 bb

Is this question for me? I don't understand. The BB analysis project at this point doesn't have any data firing BBs- and I use HPA with variable volume and pressure. I normally use 3-3.5J and .48s..?
Hey, Magic

Would you also be able to also do testing for surface roughness of the bbs with a profilometer?

Before you post on a thread, I highly suggest you look at the thread date. When it is been a while since the last post, don't post on it.
This is because what you are doing is called necro-posting. Something which is extremely irritating to most people and therefore against forum rules.
If you want to contact MM about this, I suggest you use the PM system.

But...this is sticky'd- and an ongoing project I intend to update continuously. Isn't posting on it okay at any time?

I would absolutely love to; I'm pretty confident surface roughness is relevant- pretty expensive little tool though. I also suspect it's more relevant regarding range than shot-to-shot consistency- which is kind of a separate rabbit hole entirely.
Maybe sometime down the line. If someone wants to donate a profilometer, I'll start this week ;)

Updated the document with HPA .48g BBs after hearing they were the best!
Will be using them in game tomorrow and hope to be pleasantly surprised, but their consistency overall appears worse than Novritcsh's .49s, which are noticeably less consistent than BLS .48s from my observations in-game (which the data also predicted).

For anyone paying attention to this thread:
While I have plenty of recommendations I could catch up on, they're quite old so I wanted to ask more topically: Does anyone have any BBs they'd want me to analyze? Of course if you want to ensure I analyze BBs you're interested in, feel free to mail me a sample of ~100 :)

I don't have any and have yet to try them, but I would be curious about ASG .48g, there is a used on here who swears by them for long range indoors target shooting. I would say Modify BBs as well, but according to some Japanese guy I talk to they have been discontinued, which seems to be the case as they are now wiped off the internet it seems.

Glad to have you back man.

I’d be interested in seeing:

G&G

Bushido

KWA/KSC

Krytac

(probably something else I’ll remember later)

I’ve been collecting .25gs from different brands to do a few practical shooting tests, but aside from weight and diameter I’m not doing any complicated testing. I‘d definitely be interested in sending in some samples of what I have sitting around for ya.
